Theyre weird, Joe thinks, as he watches Red and Lance. No one knows who he is hes just a custodian, but he gets to work at Indigo Plateau, and it is simpler than taking care of a school of high school students.
He watches them and he thinks that whatever is going on, really shouldnt be his business.
That doesnt make things any better to live with though. He knows how both of them spend their days working on paperwork and their nights training their pokemon, and he wonders if they sleep at all. No wonder all of the Elite retire quite quickly. Agathas gone, they claimed it was age, but hes quite sure its only stress.
Red cant cook, but hell try to, and often, Joe has to clean the kitchen full of splattered sludge.
But at least theyre happy, which is more than he can say for himself, so as he watches them run down the halls like children, throwing water balloons at each other, he almost doesnt mind the work it brings and the mess he will surely have to clean up.
