Nights are always hard for Sabrina. Even though she has Haunter and Kadabra to keep her company, it is always night when the nightmares come. She cant look away, and her memory is merciless, reminding her of all the terrible things she did as an emotionless witch.
One night, shes shaking so badly that she has to get out. She leaves the house, wishing she knew what to do, and on the spur of the moment, decides to visit Ash. It takes a few minutes to find his location, and hes off in Johto, but it doesnt matter. Shes good at teleporting.
She finds him, fast asleep, in his tent, and it may be foolish, but she joins him, and Ash doesnt scream when he wakes up early the next morning and finds Sabrina sleeping peacefully next to him with a smile on her face.
He asks her, after she wakes up, why shes here, and she blushes and says she had nightmares.
Ash gives her a hug and tells her not to worry.
She asks if she can visit him, and he says of course.
Sabrina winds up spending quite a lot of nights with Ash. Its innocent, but sometimes, she wishes he were a bit older so she could show him her appreciation.
Well, shes patient. Shell wait for him to grow up.
He makes the nightmares go away, she tells him, and he smiles, and says that hell protect her.
And she believes him.
