Its not a well-known fact, but Maylene is deathly afraid of the dark. Shes not sure why, and she takes great delight in watching when her Lucario beats up dark-type pokmon, but she still cant sleep without her Pecha berry shaped night light. Shes too scared to go train on Iron Island with Roark and Byron, because its in a cave, and last time Brawly invited her over to his gym, she passed out five minutes into their training session and woke up to find his Makuhita and Machop putting wet towels on her forehead while Meditite looked worried.
Brawly pats her on the back and says that shell grow up and get over it, and then takes her surfing.
They drink soda pop with a twist of lemon at the top, and Maylene decides that maybe, if hell watch over her, she can stand the dark a bit better.
