CHALLENGE

Presenting the CharlieFic Challenge!  Every... well, every whenever-I-can, a new Challenge topic will be presented.  You write a story meeting the requirements of the Challenge and send it in, or enter one you've already written.  I read all the Challenge entries and choose the winner.  All the entries will be archived here at CharlieFic, and the author of the winning story will receive a lovely graphic to display on his or her own website.

CharlieFic Challenge - January-March 2002

Charlie Scully in Love

It's coming on spring, and that's when a young man's fancy turns to thoughts of love... so I want some romance stories!  Pair Charlie with just about anybody -- het or slash, I'm not picky, as long as you can make be believe it.  Any rating's acceptable; remember, creativity and characterization are the key elements I'm looking for.

And the winner is...

RULES:

Your Challenge Entry can either be something you write specifically for the Challenge or something you've already written -- your choice.  You can even enter a story that's already archived here (just submit the title of the story).  You can enter as many stories as you want as long as they answer the Challenge.

There are no restrictions on length.  You can submit a novel, story, vignette or poem.  (If you do submit a novel, try to submit it early.  Please.  Pretty please.)  Sorry, but WIPs are not eligible.  Your entry must be a completed work.

Make sure your entry is formatted properly!  Consult the formatting guide at The Gossamer Project for help.  Bad formatting will definitely hurt your chances at winning, so pay attention to this.  Spelling and grammar count too, and be sure to spell character names correctly.

I'll accept stories in the body of an e-mail, text files or links to your website.  A text file should be just that -- a text file, not a word processor file.  If you provide a link, please make sure it's the direct link to the story on your site.

Send your stories to Lara Means at CharlieFic@aol.com -- please put the word "Challenge" in your subject line.

By entering the Challenge, you give CharlieFic permission to archive your entry on this site, whether or not your entry wins.

If there are fewer than five entries for any Challenge, I reserve the right not to choose a winner.  All entries will still be archived at CharlieFic.

Thanks, and good luck!
