I went along to see
The Fauves with two friends, who were interested (Obviously) in
seeing The Fauves and hearing Coxy speak about he Melbourne Demons.
Personally i went to see Boatshow and get a glimpse at Klinger.
Boatshow were awesome.
With a new drummer of only two days, the sound was brilliant,
*** was dressed in a shirt and sexy tie. I don't know alot of
their stuff but found their gig really sucked some fans in, after
"Sucking Face" a few people actually looked as though they finally
knew who these guys, giving it their all were.
Klinger were entertaining,
with their groups of youngish girls up the front singing to every
song. I'm not a big fan, but their songs are catchy and written
with a bit of wit about them.
When The Fauves finally
started to play, the sound was not that good, unfortunately i
had Boatshow to compare them to. A few hit songs got the crowd
(sell out) jumping and singing. An ongoing joke throughout the
night was that they had a doctor playing in their band now, earning
obviously not as much money but having more fun. Coxy finally
at the end of their gig, sung to a drum beat, a song about him
and his dad at the footy when he was younger and how "tomorrow
the Demons will kick ass, Essendon watch out" This causing all
the Melbourne fans to cheer and a few supporters wave their Demon
tops.
I give The Fauves this....
Coxy was great on stage, their songs were played well, with or
without good sound.
