Rotaract Club of Ryde

What is Rotaract?

Rotaract is a community based organisation for young people aged between 18 - 30 years of age.

Rotaract Clubs provide an opportunity for a group of young people to serve their local community, meet people and enjoy themselves in a friendly non religious, non political environment.

Rotaract clubs are formed and sponsored by local Rotary Clubs and both the Rotaract Club and the Rotary Club work closely together to support their community.

Rotaract is an international organisation sponsored by Rotary International with over a 130000 members worldwide.

Rotaract aims to:
  • Develop the leadership skills of its' members
  • Promote international understanding
  • Provide service to the local community
  • The promotion of friendship amongst all of its' members

Who is Ryde Rotaract?
Ryde Rotaract is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Ryde, we are located in Ryde (a suburb of Sydney), Australia and are part of District 9680 of Rotary International.

Ryde Rotaract was formed on the 4th June 1971 by the Rotary Club of Ryde. The Rotaract club has served the community of Ryde and greater Sydney for just over 30 years.

Our members are aged from 18 to 30 with membership being open to any person aged in the age group of 18 -30. (for reasons dictated in our constitution)

The Ryde area lies in the central northern area of the Sydney Metropolitan area, about 13.5 kms from the centre of Sydney. 

Ryde occupies most of the divide between the Parramatta and Lane Cove rivers, and includes the following suburbs Chatswood West, Denistone, Denistone East, Denistone West, East Ryde, Eastwood, Gladesville, Macquarie Park, Marsfield, Meadowbank, Melrose Park, North Ryde, Putney, Ryde, Tennyson, and West Ryde.
