News and Updates

August 10, 2004

Like so many other things, it had taken me quite a while before I could update another site. While I decided to stop updating "Liberi Fatali: Temple of the Fateful Children", I certainly have no intention of dropping this one. Even though updates might take an eternity. :D But don't despair (sp?).

As you can see, I've gone overboard with blue once again. It's becoming a favorite color as of late. :D

You must be tired of seeing the same character feature, I think that was last YEAR. And I promised to change every month! So say bye-bye to Millions Knives and make way for Folken Lukur de Fanel, from the very popular anime "Vision of Escaflowne". To those who haven't seen the show let me give you a quick info on what the hell "Esca" (as I'd like to call it) is all about. And when I say quick, it really is.

A junior high school girl named Hitomi Kanzaki gets sucked into a place called Gaia, a world parallel to our own. But different at the same time (I will not elaborate on that, you have to see for yourself). After some skirmish with a certain king-to-be trying to slay a dragon, who, for some unknown reason, gets briefly transported into our world. Hitomi helps him slay the monstrosity (not Eowyn style, she merely pointed out its weakness), and accidentally accompanies him back to his world. And that's where the adventures and the problems begin.

And NO, this is NOT Fushigi Yugi. The characters of "Esca" were much more believable, more coherent, and the heroine is not an "empty-head". Plus the battles are really battles. Not scratch-matches. Plus a more engaging story overall. No offense to FY fans.

Anyway, Folken Fanel is the "secondary villain" of this anime. The first being Dornkirk. If you would like to see it that way. My goal is to show you why Folken should be featured in this site. :D
