Main Storyline
Kurosaki Ichigo is a 15 year-old teenager who's life could be considered normal beside one thing... he can see ghosts! He discovers that he has high reiatsu (spiritual power), therefore he has that ability to see ghosts. But things get out of hand when masked monsters named Hollows are attracted to Ichigo's reiatsu.
Enter Kuchiki Rukia, a shinigami (literally meaning 'god of death') from 'Soul Society'. Rukia fights the Hollow only ending up weakened and with Ichigo in her way. She decides to use him in the only way she can to help his family. Rukia transfers her powers to him!
Things stay good for a while, until we discover that transferring shinigami powers to humans is illegal and the punishment is death!
Anime Series
Currently, the anime is completing a series called, "Bountou". It has already had two series and has been running for over 95 episodes.
Manga Series
The manga series, Bleach is made by Kubo Tite. He is currently drawing the "Arrancar Series". The below picture is a SPOILER. It is a picture of the Arrancars battling the shinigami.
