The Argentinian Myth exposed
Ever since our national hero, General Augusto Pinochet, was detained in London, lies have been said about Chile. It seems that whoever "screams" or "bitches" more, has the truth on their side as the communists have found out in the past 20-odd years. In order to support General Pinochet and get the attention of the Biritish public, ex-Prime Minister, Baroness Margareth Thatcher mentioned General Pinochet's help as an old ally during the Falkland's War. Thus soon after the argentinian public (mind you nothing was mentioned by the then President Carlos Menem) were screaming about how "treacherous" Chile was as a country and that their armed forces were treacherous too. Soon after the Chilean communists, traiotors as always, were echoing the same thing that General Pinochet "stabbed his argentinian brothers", rather than help them out. Now as nationalists who stand for the truth, we must expose this scandal by hate mongers and set the record straight for those with short memory spans, or by those who never knew what happened.
Argentina was ruled by a military dictatorship ruled in 1978 by General Leopoldo Galtieri, a nutcase. Because the Argentinian leadership was corrupt and inept, the country was doing bad economically (unlike Chile, where we were growing without bounds), and in order to draw away criticism from themselves, the Argentinian Military Junta seeked ways to divert the public from their mismanagement by creating a war. Thus led by Gen. Leopoldo Galtieri and the Junta they told the nation that the Argentine nation was destined for "greatness", and that it must "expand". Thus they tried to put forth some dubious claims that three islands in the Beagle Channel belonged to Argentina, not to Chile. Chile was willing to sit down and talk about the matter, but then the Argentine leadership wanted them by hook or by crook. Thus since an agreement could not be reached, Chile and Argentina called upon international mediation. Queen Elizabeth II as an international mediator, where both countries set forth plans and maps dating from colonial times, found Chile had better arguments and that the islands in the Beagle Channel belonged to Chile. Argentina then against its word of honor, disregarded the mediation as "false" and that they werent content. General Pinochet, a courageous man, was not willing to give up one inch of national territory, but was willing to discuss matter of importance with other countries in the name of friendly relations. It was during these days that both countries were tense, and a quasi-war was about to begin. Troops were mobilized by both countries to their borders preparing for war, and the Argentine marine fleet came upon Chilean waters. This would have never ocurred if there were less hot-headed leaders in Argentina's Military Government. This problem was solved by the intervention of Pope John Paul II who gave the rights to Chile, as was propper. Thus the Argentines were forced to accept unless they wanted an international backlash. However, General Pinochet, the Junta, and the Chilean people did not forget the intentions of our "brothers", the Argentinians.
Thus then, it was the Argentinian leadership who first tried to back stabb us, and was ready to attack us, not the other way around. Thus when the same hot-headed General Leopoldo Galtieri decided to attack the Falkland Islands and fight them over with the United Kingdom, Chile adopted a sensible realpolitik approach. Argentina has claimed those islands since the Birith took them away in the 1820's while Argentina was consolidating itself as a nation state. They claimed that the Islands were Argentinian, although the population was mostly British and mix of Argentines. They also didnt heed the fact that the Islanders wanted to be part of the British Crown, not the Argentine Federal Republic. Thus the Islanders felt attacked, and the Argentinian leadership, led by arrogant, imbecilistic people, thought that Britain wouldnt care too much about those islands been so far away, and that they would have to give it up as lost and recognize it as Argentinian. Thus, this war had the desired effect the Argentinian Junta wanted: the people were mobilized by war and raised unanimous support for the Junta. That irresponsible hot-headed Galtieri used to say back then (1982): "This is the beggining. First "las Malvinas" (Falklands) afterwards the other territories that belong to us". This was a clear allusion to Chile. General Pinochet and the Military Junta in Chile wanted to avert war, but not step down in ace of threats. Thus General Pinochet was left with no choice but to busy himself with neutralizing our truly "treacherous" brothers, the Argentinians.
It was thus then that British intelligence contacted its Chilean counterparts, including the then Commander of the Chilean Air Force (Fach), General Fernando Matthei Aubel. He had many previous contacts with Britain, and, it is important to mention, the Chilean Navy was founded by Lord Cochrane. Thus historical ties between Chile and Britain played its part as well. Thus, to ensure that the Argentinians were neutralized and wouldnt want to attack Chile in the future, our Air Force, Navy, and to a lesser extent, our Military, gave tactic information about Argentinian movements, and other information due to our satellites by the border. In exchange the British sold Chile very cheap modern reconoisance planes, radars, and other technical wepons. This was advantageous for Chile, and was used in our self-defense against our so called "friendly" neighbours. Thus this very war, was disastrous for Argentina, where it lost thousands of soldiers. They lost the war not because they werent courageous enough; the Argentine soldiers were courageous and fought to the last. The problem was that Galtieri and his henchmen were behind the scenes, while sending out young and unexperienced soldiers straight out of the Military and naval academies. The British, used to waging war in the colonies being a global power, easily crushed them. Thus it was their teachery not ours, that led them to loose that war. Likewise, those British leftists and Communists should remember that without Chilean help, thousands upon thousands of British soldiers would have been dead.
