A15 was born in 1979, to Saddle. He was Saddle's fourth known calf, and her last. She was around 32 at the time.
A15's unique in that, while he didn't have a name, he was well-known enough that his number simply became his name.
When he was born, the family consisted of him, his mom Saddle, and his older sister Sharky. Saddle was laid back and would let him and Sharky play in the wake of boats.
A15 and Sharky spent tons of time playing. Sharky was an adventurous, bold calf. A15 was slightly less..um...crazy, but they played a lot. They'd roll in the wake, leap through the water. Saddle, thankfully, seemed to have undying patience.
Years passed, and then when A15 was 7 years old, Sharky had her first calf, and he gained a niece! For the next few years, A15 traveled with the three girls: his mom, his sister, and his niece Nodales.
Then in 1991, at the age of 12, A15's life was cut short. Both he and his mother disappeared and were proclaimed dead. This was just as he reached maturity. I don't know if his fin was beginning to spout yet.
