Crystal Tokyo Cappucino - Tsukino Usagi/Serena

Usagi/Serena is the main character and hero of the Sailor Moon series, anime and manga. She has blonde hair put up into odangos (kind of like long pigtails). This is the reason why some of her nicknames are "Odango Atama" or "Meatball Head". She's quite klutzy and a crybaby but throughout the series she matures and becomes more like the Princess Serenity or Neo-Queen Serenity she was in the past and future. Her boyfriend and future husband is Mamoru/Darien whose helps the senshi by becoming Tuxedo Mask/Kamen.

Usagi's name means "Rabbit of the Moon", and I guess this is true because, well she does look like a rabbit, and she's princess of the moon. Her zodiac is Cancer, and her hobbies include sleeping and eating. Her favourite class is Home Economics and her least favourite class English and Math.

    Being the "Brains behind the Senshi", Ami/Amy is a quiet, shy and extremely smart student (rumour has it that she has an IQ of 300) of Juuban Middle School (also called Crossroads High). She has blue short hair and acts very mature though when it comes to love letters, she screams. She once had a crush on a guy with psychic powers in Sailor Moon Classic (Mr. Whatshisname?). Ami dreams of becoming a doctor, like her mother.

    Ami's name means "Friend of Water", which perfectly fits her description. Her senshi attacks use water and ice, and her favourite sport is swimming. Her zodiac sign is Virgo, and she likes reading and playing chess. Since she likes school so much, she doesn't have any subjects that she hates, but her most favourite subject is Mathematics.

    • Winter Relief Latte - Hino Rei/Raye

    Rei/Raye, a fiery young priestess, princess of Mars. She lives with her grandfather and works at the Hikawa Temple since her mother is deceased and her father is a busy businessman and unable to take care of her. She's had several crushes - Chiba Mamoru/Darien (Usagi's boyfriend and future King Endyimon), Ten'oh Haruka (only then Rei thought she was a boy, but then found out it was Michuru/Michelle's girlfriend) and Kumada Yuuchirou (Chad in the dubbed series).

    Rei's name means "Spirit of Fire", and this fits her description because she does fortune telling and speaks to the spirits, and she conducts fire attacks. Her zodiac is Aries, and her favourite subject at school is Ancient Literature/Writing. Her worst or least favourite subject is Modern Society.

    • Thunderous Macchiato - Kino Makoto/Lita

    Makoto/Lita is physically the strongest of the senshi, even though she cooks and cleans and loves gardening. Makoto has had a lot of crushes on several boys ("he looks like my old boyfriend"), including Crane Machine Joe (Game Machine Joe), Motoki Furuhata (Andrew in the dubbed version).

    Mako's name means "Wisdom of Trees". She uses wood and thunder attacks so I guess that meaning fits perfectly. Her zodiac is Sagittarius and her favourite subject at school is Home Economics, while her least favourite subject is Physics (no excuse for that, I suppose).

    • Overnight Sensation Mocha - Aino Minako

    Minako is one character who is passionate about love and romance. Once she dated two hot guys (who were actually part of the Amazon Trio) at once, going one place to the other until she could no longer run. She was the first senshi to be discovered, though she didn't show up until episode 36. Mina loves chasing idols, and hopes to become one someday.

    Mina's name means "Surrounded by beauty of love". This fits her description because of her passion for love. Her zodiac is Libra, and her favourite subject is Physical Education. She doesn't like anything else excluding Physical Education.

    • Chibi Kawaii Babyccino - Chibiusa/Rini

    Chibiusa/Rini is a cute pink-haired girl who is the future daughter of Neo-Queen Serenity. She has a little magic ball in the shape of the cat called Luna P, and often does magic tricks in Sailor Moon R to get what she wants. For instance, she turned Luna P into a milk bottle that contained a sleeping potion and put a few drops in Usagi's, Ami's, Raye's, Makoto's and Mina's tea so she can get Usagi's silver crystal. Later on, after the Sailor Moon R series, she comes back but she isn't the little brat she used to be. Chibi-Usa dreams of becoming a lady, like her mother.

    Chibi-Usa's real name is Usagi Tsukino, and to avoid confusion the senshi called her Chibi-Usa (meaning "Mini Usagi"). Her zodiac is Cancer. Chibi-Usa's favourite subject is Manual-Arts or Drawing class, and her least favourite subject is Language Arts.

    • Earth Shattering Long Black - Tenoh Haruka/Amara

    Haruka/Amara is a very strong female who loves cars and dreams to become a famous racer. She and her girlfriend, beautiful Michuru/Michelle, lived together and raised Hotaru until she returned to her original form (see below to "Tomoe Hotaru") and became Sailor Saturn.

    Haruka's name means "Distant Heaven King". She's an Aquarius, and her favourite subject is Physical Education, while her least favourite subject is Modern Language Arts.

    • Musical Short Black - Kaioh Michuru/Michelle

    A very beautiful, creative girl, Michuru/Michelle is one Sailor Senshi who is dedicated to the Art of Music. She plays the violin, and in the manga she is seen teaching kids how to play. She likes swimming, like Ami (once in the anime they competed head to head). In the manga, she lives out her dream - she becomes a famous violinist and travels all over the world and sells records.

    Michuru's name means "King of the Sea" (not a surprise, since the planet Neptune is named after the Roman god of the Sea). Her zodiac is also an Aquarius, like Haruka. Her favourite subject is Music (duh).

    • The Time Gate's Herbal Tea - Meiou Setsuna

    Setsuna is a very mysterious girl, who guarded the Time Gate. She was very lonely, but ever since Small Lady (or Chibiusa) got lost and found Setsuna, the two have become best friends. Setsuna even gave her a time key (it looks like Setsuna's staff in a mini-version) so if ever she ends up in the past or future, she is able to get back home whenever she is ready. She is also a very wise person - in the manga she worked at the Tokyo Bay Observatory.

    Setsuna's name means "King of the Underworld" (she's a dark character, that one). Her favourite subject is Manual-Arts class, and her least favourite is Language Arts, just like Chibiusa.

  • "Pluto Planet Power, Make-Up!" - Original Sailor Pluto


    • Mysterious Hot Chocolate - Tomoe Hotaru

    Hotaru is a young girl who once had an evil alter-ego, Mistress Nine. This happened in series the Sailor Moon S series. To the end of the series, Mistress Nine was defeated and Hotaru became Sailor Saturn, a strong senshi who used a powerful attack (but useless in the "Sailor Moon R: Another Story" game), Death Reborn Revolution. Unfortunately she had to battle the real enemy alone, but Sailor Moon went after her and fought with her. They later came back, but Hotaru was reborn, free of any evil in her. Haruka, Michuru and Setsuna raised her until Hotaru revived Sailor Saturn, and rejoined forces with the Inner Senshi.

    Tomoe Hotaru means "Saturn Firefly". Hotaru's favourite subject in school is World History, but she dislikes Physical Education.

    Senshi Transformations:
  • There was no transformation in the anime, but in the manga (Sailor Moon SuperS series - vol.3 Act 6 - New Soldier Dreams), Hotaru transforms into Super Sailor Saturn using the "Saturn Crystal Power, Make-Up!". The reason why Saturn's transformation sequence didn't exist is because the animators didn't think they could give her a spectacular one like the other senshi (thank you to this page).
