my best friend's heart problems
my best friend when I was a kid had heart problems, and she had surgery a few times. One day she showed me the irradic scars on her chest, and it frightened me, and then we weren't allowed to go swimming or practice doing handsprings or cartwheels anymore, and I really didn't understand it at all. I didn't know why we couldn't, or what was wrong with her heart. She kept telling me there was a "hole" in her heart and that scared the crap out of me.
