Chocolate Buttermilk Cake |

| 1 c | Butter |
| 2 1/4 c | Sugar |
| 2 | Eggs |
| 1 t | Vanilla |
| 2 c | Buttermilk |
| 1/2 c | Cocoa |
| 3 c | Flour |
| 2 t | Baking Soda |
| 1 t | Salt |
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream together sugar and butter. Mix in dry ingredients and buttermilk alternately, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
Pour batter into 3 greased and floured 9 inch round pans.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
