Perfectly Chocolate Cake

2 c Sugar
1 3/4 c Flour
3/4 c Cocoa
1 1/2 t Baking Powder
1 1/2 t Baking Soda
1 t Salt
2 Eggs
1 c Milk
1/2 c Vegetable Oil
2 t Vanilla
1 c Boiling Water

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease and flour 9x13 inch square or 2 (9 inch) round cake pans.
Combine dry ingredients in mixing bowl. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla and beat well.
Stir in boiling water. Batter will be thin.
Pour batter into pans and bake 30-35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean.
Cool 10 minutes. If using round pans, remove from pans onto wire rack. Cool completely before frosting.
