Wellesly Fudge Cake

4 (1 oz) squares Unsweetened Chocolate
1 3/4 c Sugar, divided
1/2 c Water
1 2/3 c Flour
1 t Baking Soda
1/4 t Salt
1/2 c Butter, softened
3 Eggs
3/4 c Milk
1 t Vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In medium microwave safe bowl, melt chocolate, 1/2 c sugar, and water on high for 1-2 minutes or until chocolate is just melted.
In seperate bowl cream together remaining sugar and butter. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Mix in milk and dry ingredients alternatley. Beat well. Stir in chocolate.
Bake in greased and floured 9x13 inch pan for 30-35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
