ASUKAČ (Double Asuka)
AsukaČ was the manga running
in the then seasonal magazine South before Gekka Kajin. There is not much
of a story line to this series but is absolutely hilarious. She has managed
to combine some of her other characters from her other stories into this one.
The manga is still unfinished, thus explains why you see a #1 on the tankoubon
but there is no volume 2. Ohkami Mineko recently wrote one episide of
AsukaČ for the 50th issue of South (Dec. 1999) and another for the June
issue of South in 2002. If you didn't pick up these issues, you may not
get to read it for a while since she has not written any other episodes
(other than those two) ever since the last episode (side-story) found
in volume 1. Therefore, you won't be seeing volume 2 any time soon.
I hope she continues this series again soon because I really miss reading
her pointless comedies.
