Jerry is one of those very rare 'special' dogs. He came back to us at the age of 4.5 years and after a little bit of training went into the show ring. Jerry took to showing very well gaining his title in just 12 months. Along the way he won many Best of breeds, Best of Groups, Age of Groups and even a Best In Show and a Reserve In Show in Invercargill. Our proudest moment with Jerry was when he won Best In Show at Dunedin Championship Centenary Shows in July 2002 at the age of 7 years and 2 months. Jerry is virtually retired now but is still winning veteran at our local Ribbon Parades where he thoroughly enjoys getting back in the ring. Jerry has also sired some lovely puppies for us - three of which have become NZ Champions from only 3 litters, (Tori, Baxter and Rana) and Phoenix making her mark too. Jerry has a grandson, Sid, in the ring now too! We are very grateful for the opportunity to have this lovely boy back at Fortress Kennels. Jerry's greatest assets are his lovely nature and tremendous presence, beautiful head and wide straight jaw and also his lovely movement and elegance and, of course, his producing ability.
