Thomas is a special favourite of mine, he is structurally very sound even at nearly 10 years of age as these photos show. Thomas has achieved 6 Challenge Certificates, many reserves, a couple of Best of Breeds and 2 'Age In Show' Awards - all this in spite of himself - he hated the Show Ring and embarrassed me many times by his refusal to be 'gone over'. However outside the show ring Thomas shines - he is spirited and full of fun, he loves to play with all types of dogs and his temperament is superb, although sometimes a little reserved with strangers. As a stud dog Thomas has proven to be strong and effective throwing some very nice puppies two reside at Fortress Kennels, Fortress Who Made Who and NZ Ch Fortress Mercury Rising. Thomas has nice dark eyes, good jaw, great bone, lay back of shoulder, and is balanced with good topline and has correct movement. In 2004 Thomas was Best Veteran In Show twice at SIBC Specialist shows judged by Mr & Mrs Butter of Mindenwood Boxers UK. Part of Mrs Butters critique says 'Nice head with expressive twinkling eyes'.
