Strayed Horn Productions                           Television / Film Composer                            Chris Stevens
Bmus (Acadia)
AmusM (Nottingham)

Music Post production services for Film and Television, Stage and Theatrical productions.

He composes in a variety of mediums and has extensive knowledge of many genres of music, ranging from Big/small band Jazz to contemporary art music.  He has experience in Rock idioms, as well as Folk, blues and ethnic music.  Orchestral and vocal music a speciality.

He seeks to use these different styles in soundtrack production, believing that all music has equal validity for the specific style of the film, whether it be folk or full orchestral music.

He does not believe in the "video approach" to music, and tends to score sparingly rather than have the soundtrack becoming "background music".  If the music will not add to the drama and pacing of the film, he tends not to write an underscore for that part of the drama.

Currently a British/Canadian citizen, he resides in both countries.
Excerpt from an orchestral score used for a news programme.                                        The composer produces "temp tracks" and frequent samples of his scores, so that the Director has a clear realization of the finished score.  This allows for clear and quick communication between both parties and allows for guaranteed success every time.   He looks to encourage requests for either film/television or theatrical music, for any ensemble, large or small.   All requests and inquiries are treated with courtesy and sincerity.   He aims to compose the best score for the Director's artistic and financial goals.                                                Email the composer at chrisstevens5@yahoo.ca   or   composerec@hotmail.com
