***ChristianEthics 9.2 only went through minimal testing, due to my time restrictions.
It is possible that the mIRC 6.17 that is needed to update passports after the MSN changes
on April 8th 2006 might conflict with some of the previous coding. If there are problems
please let me know about them.

***Passport updates are all automated again, but this info might be useful if the
automated methods stop working again.

Help to Manual Update Passports if the Updaters stop working.

MSN APRIL 6 UPDATE INFO
----------------------------------------
Manual Updating your passports using Renderchat.
**This is a very simply method.

To start......

  1. Join your group room or paid room with Internet Explorer Browser.

  2. Enter the following link in the address bar of the chat page:
**make sure you use the same window as the chatroom is open in,
or else renderchat will not work.

                     http://chat.msn.com/RenderChat.msnw

Grabbing Passport info using RenderChat...

  1. Renderchat will cancel your chatroom page,
by opening a white 'renderchat page in its place.

  2. On the Renderchat page, right click, and choose 'view source'

  3. view source will allow you to see your passport numbers.

  4. Look through the code until you find the following 2 names:
             -PassportProfile
             -PassportTicket

*If you are a subscribed chatter, also look for:
             -SubscriberInfo

They should look something like this:
       <PARAM NAME="PassportProfile" VALUE="7D1kiyoOVBSmBCMgLFiTsGdB5Tem5wGxjWeDhben1prV4e">

  5. Copy only the number: 7D1kiyoOVBSmBCMgLFiTsGdB5Tem5en1prV4e

  6. Make sure you copy all three numbers:
        passportProfile
        passportTicket
subscriberInfo (available for paid chatters only)

Entering Passport info into Christianethics/vinculaEZR...

  7. Now open your bot (script).
*Make sure that you are set to use the vincula connection.

  8. type in: /msn.setup
and from the passport tab, choose to EDIT your passport.

  9. Copy and paste the passportProfile, PassportTicket,
and SubscriberInfo numbers into your passport.

**10. Make sure that the box that says:
'Automatically update passport every -- hours'
is UNCHECKED...otherwise vincula will keep trying
to auto update the passport, and never revert
             to the manual passport info.

**11. You can still update your userrole
automacially by typing in: /urole or /urole2

You will have to re-grab and enter your passport
  info every 12-24 hours.

Currently the userrole number auto updates on its own.
So if you are not able to join a group room.

Make sure to update your userrole by typing in: /urole or /urole2

*Update: It now looks like the userrole number is obsolete.
As far as I can tell, the group rooms now
         authenticate using the PassportTicket number.
So you might not have to update your userrole at all anymore.

More About Groups
  1. You cannot have both your Nickname and MSNREGCookie filled
in at the same time--it will prevent you from joining group chat.

  2. To use your profile nickname fill in MSNREGCookie spot.

  3. To use custom nickname, fill in the nickname spot.

  4. Either MSNREGCookie OR Nickname MUST be empty.

  5. Copy and save your MSNREGCookie number to a save spot,
in case you want to use it again.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In October 2003 MSN chat changed to a paid(subscription service). To be able to chat
in the subscription chat rooms and also in the group rooms, you now require 2
new numbers to be updated on your passports. These numbers are called:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) Subscriberinfo number (for paid rooms)
2) UserRole number (for group rooms)

ChristianEthics V8.1 is set up with more 'automated' ways to 'grab' these numbers

But Below are several sets of old intructions. I'll leave them in for interst sake or to help
you learn how to manually grab these numbers if the passport updaters should stop working.

In addition to these 2 new numbers, you still require the
PassportProfile and PassportTicket Numbers to chat in paid and group rooms.
You can update these by typing in: /msn.getpp

The MSNREGCookie number is only required if you wish to Automatically use the
NickName on your profile. If you wish to customize your NickName upon entering
chat rooms, then leave the MSNREGCookie number area empty.
You can update this by typing in: /msn.getcookie

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
A) BASIC INSTRUCTIONS To Grab the passport Numbers
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
1) In the Drop Down menu you will find a spot near the bottom that says:

Enter Subscriberinfo
Enter userrole

Use those buttons to enter those values.
The subscriberinfo number has to be updated about weekly and the userrole
number has to be updated with each new group chat room, or each time
the group chat room is re-created by a new person.

2) Full Passport updates are not working right now, so use the
quick update, or type in: /msn.getpp

The third part which is called the MSNREGCookie will have to be grabbed and
entered if you wish to use your profile nickname. to update type in: /msn.getcookie
it only has to be updated every week or so. If you prefer to customize your nickname
each time you enter the room, then leave this number area empty.

If you do not know how to do get these numbers then further instructions
are provided down below.

MANUAL PASSPORT UPDATING INSTRUCTIONS

***********************************************************************************************************************************************
B) INSTRUCTIONS TO ENTER SUBSCRIPTION CHAT ROOMS [Manually] AFTER (oct 14 changes and nov 20) changes
***********************************************************************************************************************************************

1) You will need to 'grab' a new 'string' of info called 'subscriberinfo'
On nov 20 msn hid these values, so you will have to grab by following the instructions
listed below using either internet explorer instructions or netscape instructions.

INTERNET EXPLORER INSTRUCTIONS

       A) Sign into an MSN chat room with your internet explorer browser
(be sure to use the hotmail passport that is subscribed to chat)
(generally this subscriberinfo number is good for a week or more, but
sometimes you will have to re-grab it, as it does seem to change on occassion)

       B) Type the following address into your chat room address bar:
           View-Source:http://chat.msn.com/RenderChat.msnw

The above address typed in the chat room page address bar should cause a notepad document to open up.
In the notepad document, search for the subscriberinfo number.

        C) The subscriberInfo should look something like this:
            <PARAM NAME="SubscriberInfo" VALUE="5AAA98980
           1kjlkjWEKj299871oYeW4KMz46xuY7Wh4XEU*!Wp1IFR
           TFO39PzR187190JLKSIkjla8rCj0k$$">';

        D) use only the parts between the two " " So it would look like this:
            5AAA989801kjlkjWEKj299871oYeW4KMz46xuY7Wh4XEU*!Wp1IFRTFO39PzR187190JLKSIkjla8rCj0k$$

        E) Save that string of info someplace on your computer so that you can use it later.
            It is called your SubscriberInfo

 NETSCAPE INSTRUCTIONS

       A) Sign into an MSN chat room with your netscape browser
(be sure to use the hotmail passport that is subscribed to chat)
(generally this subscriberinfo number is good for a week or more, but
sometimes you will have to re-grab it, as it does seem to change on occassion)

       B) Now (depending on your mouse) either right click or left click on the Chat
Room page. (do not click directly on the chat screen..but somewhere slightly
above it) This should open up a 'pop-up' menu of sorts From this popup menu
Choose the 'This Frame'button and the from the submenu choose 'view source'

        C) Once you have clicked on the 'This Frame' and then 'view source' a notepad full of info should open
up. Use the 'search' button near the top to search for: SubscriberInfo

        D) The subscriberInfo should look something like this:
            <PARAM NAME="SubscriberInfo" VALUE="5AAA98980
           1kjlkjWEKj299871oYeW4KMz46xuY7Wh4XEU*!Wp1IFR
           TFO39PzR187190JLKSIkjla8rCj0k$$">';

        E) use only the parts between the two " " So it would look like this:
            5AAA989801kjlkjWEKj299871oYeW4KMz46xuY7Wh4XEU*!Wp1IFRTFO39PzR187190JLKSIkjla8rCj0k$$

        F) Save that string of info someplace on your computer so that you can use it later.
            It is called your SubscriberInfo

3) Almost finished!! :-)

        A) take that SubscriberInfo string that we 'grabbed' and enter it into
the spot on the drop down menu that says: Enter Subscriberinfo or into the passport
           Edit box under SubscriberInfo

4) Last step! :-)

        A) Make sure you have setup your passport details on ChristianEthics
             using the subscribed passport.
You can do this by typing the following onto the black mirc screen:
                /msn.setup (use the passport tab)

        B) Update your passport using the quick option or type the following into your
black mIRC screen: /msn.getpp (after nov 20 the full update or typing in /msn.getcookie no longer works)

MSNREGCOOKIE INFO
        C) Now as of nov 20 the full update no longer works, and it will not update the
MSNREGCookie part of the passport. So you will have to grab it manually. For right
now it is not showing up in the paid rooms, so you have to grab it from the group
chat rooms. It is listed under the 2nd "Render Chat" and it is the first string of
numbers/letters. It is often followed by the room name and some other info, the end is a
string of numbers often starting with a 5 and ending with a $ (this is the userrole value that you will need for group chat, see instructions below for more details on group chat)
(when you use the msnregcookie number from group chat, it will show your group chat name,
as the msnregcookie value defines the name)
You can also grab it by going to a paid chat room and then typing the following
link into the chat room address bar: View-Source:http://chat.msn.com/RenderChat.msnw
It will open up a note pad that contains the subscriberinfo and msnregcookie numbers.

        D) You should now be ready to join a room using your paid passport! :-)

Also, Sometimes it seems that this fixed vincula file gets messed up.
if you find that no matter what you do, it won't connect, try using the 'Emergency reload
button from the christianEthics drop down menu. It will reload the vincula file and reset
things to work correctly again. You will have to reenter the subscriberinfo number again and also
 the userrole number)

Also note that the subscriber number has to be updated about weekly, the MSNREGcookie number
has to be upated each week or so also.

***********************************************************************************************************************************************
C) INSTRUCTIONS TO ENTER GROUP CHAT ROOMS [Manually] AFTER(nov 6 and nOv 20 changes)
***********************************************************************************************************************************************

1) You will need to 'grab' a new 'string' of info called 'userrole'
..To do this choose either the Internet explorer or netscape instructions. There is also a userrole grabber on www.techgear007.net that works pretty well.

INTERNET EXPLORER INSTRUCTIONS:
       A) Sign into the MSN GROUP chat room with your internet explorer browser
(each group chat room will have a different userrole number and it will change
each time that the group chat room is re-created)
(so this means you might have to re-grab this userrole number over and over again. (yess grrr) lol

       B) Now (depending on your mouse) either right click or left click on the Chat
Room page. (do not click directly on the chat screen..but somewhere slightly
above it) This should open up a 'pop-up' menu of sorts From this popup menu
            Choose the 'View Source'

        C) Once you have clicked on the 'View Source' a notepad full of info should open
up. Use the 'search' button near the top to search for your group room name (you might also have a edit button there, with a find..button, that will work as well)

        D) You might find your group name in a couple of places, but look for the place that is similar to this:
            'G_GroupName','GroupName','5ABCDEFG12343igdhse89023adfajkldf;lajflj$'

        E) The userrole number is now that number at the end, usually starting with a 5 and ending with a $
use only the parts between the two " " So it would look like this:
            5ABCDEFG12343igdhse89023adfajkldf;lajflj$

        F) Save that string of info someplace on your computer so that you can use it later.
            It is called your userrole

3) Almost finished!! :-)

        A) take that userrole string that we 'grabbed' and enter it into the
in the drop down menu where it says: Enter Userrole or enter it into the edit passport
           box under the userrole number
4) Now... :-)

        A) Make sure you have setup your passport details on ChristianEthics
             using the subscribed passport.
You can do this by typing the following onto the black mirc screen:
                /msn.setup (use the passport tab)

        B) Update your passport using the quick option or type the following into your
black mIRC screen: /msn.getpp (after nov 20 the full update or typing in /msn.getcookie no longer works)

        D) You should now be ready to join a room using your paid passport! :-)

5) To join a group chat room there are a couple of tricks..
        A) Use the join room-Groups button and join by room name..
        B) The group chat room name format must be entered in this format:
             G_GroupChatRoomName
        C) If you still recieve the 'access denied' page error then:
            A) Keep that 'Access denied' page open and type the following into it
/prop $ ROLE and add the number in here so it would look like this:
                /prop $ ROLE 5mdlajd90a8df098a0dd08ad098ad08a$
Then type in /hop and it should join the group room.

Note: each group chat room will have a different userrole number and it will change
each time that the group chat room is re-created.
(so this means you might have to re-grab this userrole number over and over again.
        (yess grrr) lol

Also, Sometimes it seems that this fixed vincula file gets messed up.
if you find that no matter what you do, it won't connect, try using the 'Emergency reload
button from the christianEthics drop down menu. It will reload the vincula file and reset
things to work correctly again. You will have to reenter the subscriberinfo number again and also
 the userrole number)

I know its alot of info and hopefully we will have a more
automated fix out in the near future.

:)Let me know if you have any troubles,
Gods Love on you,
Gwen
