It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour, for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Jesus called out with a loud voice,Father, into your hands I commit my spirit. When he said this, he breathed his last.

Easter is a time for many to enjoy a good barbecue, good company and good memories. To us Easter is a time to remember the sacrifice that our savior made for us, and I am grateful that I have brothers and sisters like you to remember this with.
For just as Jesus promised, he shed his blood on the cross, after being spit upon, beaten, and mocked. Then he rose from his grave to start his disciples spreading the precious Word that has saved many, including I pray you and I.
