Hi! My name is Branen Jacob Gordon. I live in Mellen, Wisconsin and I am a survivor everyday of Cystic Fibrosis (CF). What is CF you may ask? CF is an inherited disease that affects the lungs and the digestive system. The CF genes cause the body to produce an abnormally thick, sticky mucous that obstructs the airways of the lungs and clogs the digestive track in the stomach and mainly the pancreas. These obstructions can lead to life threatening diseases and many hospitalizations. Currently there is no cure for CF. I am now 3-1/2 years old and doing pretty well. Unfortunately, the older I get the worse my symptoms will become. I do chest percussion therapy twice per day and a nebulizer four to six times per day. Medicine and vitamins keep me going strong and healthy.
