LAKE OF FIRE

  1. Explanation of the chart unveiling the mystery of Christian Life
    1. In this universe there are two kinds of spiritual kingdom: The kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan. The line in the chart divides the two kingdoms. The upper part is the kingdom of God and the lower part is the kingdom of Satan.
    2. In the world there are two kinds of people: The believers and the unbelievers. The destiny of the unbelievers is the lake of fire. While the destiny of the believers is the New Jerusalem, they have been transferred into the kingdom of God and have been baptized into the Body of Christ which is the church in this present age of grace.
    3. The church is a composition of all regenerated believers who possess God’s eternal life. Therefore, our destiny is the New Jerusalem to be with God throughout the age of eternity. The New Jerusalem is the universal divine and human incorporation of the processed Triune God and the transformed and glorified tripartite man in eternity. But between the church age and the New Jerusalem there is the millennial kingdom or one thousand years kingdom age of righteousness.
    4. The kingdom age will divide the two kinds of Christian: The overcomers and the defeated believers. All overcomers shall receive a reward for one thousand years while all the defeated believers shall receive a dispensational discipline for one thousand years.
  1. The reward of the overcomers. Rev. 20:4, 6; Matt. 25:21, 23; Luke 19:17, 19
    1. They shall become priests of God and of Christ and shall reign with Him a thousand years.
    2. They shall enter into the joy of the Lord.
    3. They shall rule over ten cities and five cities.
  1. The dispensational discipline of the defeated believers. Matt. 24:51; 25:30; 18:34
    1. They shall weep and gnash their teeth.
    2. They could not enter into the glory of the kingdom for they shall be thrown into the outer darkness.
    3. They shall suffer and they should pay all what they owed others.
  1. Whether you are to receive the reward or the dispensational discipline fully depends upon your work as a Christian in this age. I Cor. 3:14-15; Phil. 2:12
    1. If anyone’s work is according to the will of the Father he shall receive a reward. But if anyone’s work is not according to the will of the Father, he shall suffer loss, but he shall be saved, yet through a dispensational discipline.
    2. Christian life involves both salvation and reward. Salvation is free, a gift and can be received through faith, while reward is not free and can only be obtained through work. Therefore, as a saved Christian you need to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling for the gaining of the reward.
  1. All believers should work according to the will of the Father for the gaining of the reward. Eph. 1:9-10; 1:22-23
    1. The will of the Father is the church; therefore, we need to be in the will of the Father by being in the church.
    2. The church is the assembling of all those who are redeemed by the precious blood of our Lord Jesus; and this is the meeting. If there is no meeting there is no practical expression of the church. This is the reason the Lord has strongly reminded us that we should not forsake the assembling together with the brothers and sisters. (Heb 10:25).
    3. We need to remain in the church and enjoy the riches of Christ. We need to grow and be transformed to become precious materials in God’s building – the church. The more we are being transformed in the church life, the more we become the expression of God. In this way we are qualified to receive the promised reward.
    4. The church is a factory producing the highest quality products in the entire universe – the overcomers. The overcomers are God-men who have undergone through a long process of regeneration, sanctification, renewing, transformation and eventually glorification at the Lord’s coming back.
