Kurii and
Agent Guidelines
Kurii are not unknown in Laura.
An agent posing as a mountebank, or clown, brought a Kur supposedly trained
and docile to a compound to entertain slaves, as he was actually scouting
for a particular slave. Follwing the precedent set in that book and to increase
the options available to roleplayers, Kur/Agent Pairs will be allowed in
Laura.
Kurii and/or agents cannot be NPCs. RPing Kurii must be accompanied
by RPing Agents. The same is not true for agents as they pose no threat
alone.
For the purposes of safety a Kur cannot come into the room if there are
no Free Men present. No more than 2 Kurii/Agent pairs will be allowed in
Laura at any given time. A reasonable ratio will be 1 Kur per 3 FM not including
the agent counterpart. ((IE One pair if 1-3 FM present, 2 will be allowed
if 4 or more FM present)).
Characters playing Kur should remember that while in this role they
should be playing for all intents and purposes trained animals and only hints
at their true intelligence should be shown. It should also be remembered
that most Kur go insane with bloodlust at the scent of blood or at least
agitated. Realism should be maintained regardless. Agents cannot use the
Kurii as "attack dogs" against other characters unless situtations are extreme.
