April 2003 Edition
Welcome to the first edition of the Laura Informer!
This is pretty basic stuff
I know, but as we move along hopefully we'll get more to talk about.
But as the administration has just now taken office, it seems this
kind of start is appropriate.
Laura offically opened on Darkside Chat on March 5th 2003. Announcements and classifieds were posted on the message boards of DSC, AlterRealm, and Webmaze on March 8th.
March 7th We had 8 users on at once. Not bad for a non advertised home if I do say so. Two Panthers from SMPL visited and arranged some trade at the LEP outside the city. I got a nice larl pelf for some medical supplies and chocolate. (The actual pulldown was added on March 8th, so the RP was all in the Forest Outskirts)
March 8th We had a very interresting visitor, a slave by the name of rook, property of Witness, believed to be of the Kassar (DSC). The slave arrived at the north gate, though how I'll never know. She bumped into me, and then was taken for a bath, since it smelled like she hadn't had one in quite some time. After a little bathing the girl had an lil prong scar on her face most indicative of the PK Thieves Guild. Shortly threreafter, my coin pouch landed in the water as well. By law of the City States, the slave was branded as a thief and detained. Word will be sent to her owner for reclaimation.
March 8th also brought us a new arrival. A young peasant boy named lathan was found outside the city gate and brought back to the hall. After being spoken to, the boy felt that submission was in his best interest and Rianna Llyonesse willingly obliged him and accordingly renamed him. Please make adam{CoL} feel welcome.
March 9th a gift from Silom, Builder of the Isle of Scagnar,XC was collared to Garou MacKaine. Please make fyrestorm {GMK} feel at home.
March 10th Witness of Kassar, DSC bargained for the release of her slave rook {Witness}. Details of that transaction can be found in The Precedents of Law.
March 10th also is a happy occasion for one of O/our now former citizens. Magdlen Bloodaxe joined in Free Companionship with Scorpius Stormbringer on the Isle of Scagnar, XC that night. The then exiled Bloodaxe child was then granted one boon by her father Donar Bloodaxe on the happy occassion. Magdlen turned the decision over to her FC Scorpius, who asked if His woman could be granted citizenship back to the Isle. Donar accepted, and asked if that was what Magdlen wanted. In front of the gathered masses (17 people beisides herself), she could not refuse. We of Laura wish her best of fortune and O/our blessings. Luckily, She has assured Me that she will be returning often, so Her steddings will remain intact for such purposes.
