Characteristics of the postal forgery: 1. Orange on Greenish tinted, medium thick, wove paper. About the same as the genuine. 2. Size approx. 18.5 mm x 22 mm 3. There are 52 pearls up the left side of the stamp and 51 on the right. The pearls are too small and misformed. 4. The letters in CORREOS are thick and almost touch one another and the edge of the ribbon. The upper part of the "S" is slightly smaller than the lower. 5. Most of the lines of shading, in the ribbon, touch each other or the the frame. There are only 5 lines on the top of the left-hand loop. 6. The cancel appears to be a genuine #1 Rueda de Carreta (Cartwheel) type from Madrid. Bibliography Album Weeds by Rev. R. B.
