Thanks for joining our robotics team! Robotics education is a hands on exploratory program, where students will be working in small collaborative groups. Students will have the opportunity to work with Lego bricks, gears, motors and programs in order to construct their very own robots. Children will explore with building structures, programming and testing their robots, developing critical thinking and team work skills.
We encourage parents to support groups as they experiment with the lego pieces, asking children open ended questions and helping them solve problems themselves. This program focuses on the process of learning through problem solving and re-modifying their ideas. We therefore ask parents not to direct but to guide and support learning.
Sample Guidance Questions:
What happens when you turn this?
Where is this structure weak? How could you make it
stronger?
What will your next step be?
Does everyone in the group agree with Sally's idea?
You do not need any experience, just a sense of adventure! Though engineers are WELCOME!
Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
