Ladies and gents, I'm finally getting back on track... I think.  At any rate, my computer has awakened from its coma and is under-going physical therapy.  I expect there to be some permanent memory loss, but with care and patience the computer should be ready to return to operational status within a few days.

As for the files I lost when the hard drive crashed, though...

...anyone know a good data recovery specialist?
