GateWorld - Stargate SG-1 cancelled, Atlantis renewed

My email to SciFi channel is as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Imagine my astonishment when I opened my news feeds this afternoon to discover that the SciFi channel had CANCELLED Stargate SG-1.

My first response included several inappropriate expletives which you are fortunate enough not to have repeated here.

Let me state for the record, that there are SEVERAL factors which have contributed to SG-1's (and Atlantis') decline in ratings this summer.  Firstly, TiVo makes an impact on everyone's ratings.  Secondly, the SciFi Channel has made several questionable programming choices this year, including adding WRESTLING of all ridiculous things, and moving SG-1's time-slot to 9 o'clock from 8.  Several people with whom I have spoken have been entirely unaware the show was even still ON, let alone progressing in its 10th season and surpassing 200 episodes.

Short-sighted and pathetic.

Once Stargate SG-1 is no longer on the SciFi channel, I have no further reason to watch ANY programming on your network.  How will THAT help your ratings?
