Batman: The Video Game
Alright. It is about time I really do a review of a game that is just as good as it is bad.  Yes, I am talking about Batman: The Video Game.  It is the first game that brought me and my friends back to the NES after many years of neglection.  First of all, this game is probably one of the games that sort of ingrains itself into your brian in the shortest time ever, but this is niether good memories or bad ones.  It is a mixture of both.  The game has pretty good control and it actually lets you give Batman some pretty good moves if you can master them.  The plot is fairly simple.  The Joker is on the loose again and it is up to Batman to find him and stop him.  Throughout the game you must fight your way through the crowds of enemies that I suppose are supposed to the Joker's henchmen, but they just seem to show up to try and try to get in your way to achieve a higher level of inner peace or something.  Anyway, you are able to do a number of  things to keep from taking damage, which include punching them, throwing your boomerang at them, shoot them with a gun (which isn't as great as it sounds), or throw shurikens at them (my personal favorite because when you throw it, it throws 3 of them at a time).  You can also jump over them, but I don't recommend it because some of the enemies continue running and turn around when they hit the wall and come right back at you, forcing you to deal with them again.  As for the music, it is normal level of quality for an NES game (again, I used music from the game here).  The challenge is very high because I can only get to the 3rd level and have never even seen the Joker (unless you count the pathetic pictures that they put with the story in between stages).  The graphics leave much to be desired.  In the game Batman is blue.  No I don't mean his uniform is blue (I really wish that was the case).  The entire character that you play as is colored blue.  The game is overall a pretty good game with some pretty bad parts.  I give it a 5 of 10.  Hope you enjoy.

No, this isn't the Batman that you control.  This is the picture from the title screen.  Click on it to see more great pictures.
