Ok, if you are reading this it means that or either want to hear more about this game or that you simply don't understand what the "back" button on your web browser does (in which case I sympathize). Anyway, this game has pretty good graphics, about as good quality wise (but better color wise) as Batman: The Video Game (they are almost twice as good as the first castlevania in my opinion). The replay value is really good (it might just be the fact that I want to get all the way through the game so that I can look back and see the obvious mistakes I made the first time, considering that most games get that much easier after the 1st time through). The music is tolerable, which isn't too much to ask of a game in my opinion (which is not one shared by most of the creators of NES game). The conrtol is without a doubt where this game is in need of serious repair (along with the difficulty level). Sometimes when you jump and are pressing the movement pad in a direction, it does what you want it to do and Simon jumps in that direction. Other time, however, he simply jumps in place. That is my only major problem with the game. I think it deserves an 8 of 10 simply because it is a unique game for that time period (it is unique because it isnt as straight forward as the other 2 for NES). If you do decide to find and play this game, good luck and may God have mercy on your nerves and your NES (especialy if you are short tempered;). |
