Castlevania 3: Dracula's Curse
Hello again.  If you have read my Castlevania 2 review, then you know how and why I own Castlevania 3.  As I stated in that review, when I recieved the 3 Castlevania games for NES, I began playing them in the only logical order.  Yes, I satrted with number 3.  At first I got about halfway through the first stageand gave up because I didn't understand the simple fact that you couldn't jump on the trick floors (and, yes I did have to jump.  Stupid medusa heads).  Anyway, I came back to the game after I tired of one and two.  I was determined to beat it this time.  Unfortunately I was only able to get to the forest just outside of stage one (I chose to go into the clocktower, while seeming incredably pointless beacuse all you get out of it is this gay little pirate man that can climb on walls and fall off only over the bottomless pits, when I went back and skipped the tower, the forest seemed to reroute me back toward the tower becaused I had not yet caused the bridge to cave in).  Anyway, I have yet to get any further than the forest, but I have read some things about the game and when I combined that with what little I had experienced, I got a large amount of knowledge about the game (not really, I just felt the need to do this review because I did the other two Castlevanias for NES).  Anyway, in this game you star as some other member of the Belmont family, due to the death of Simon in the last adventure (or suicidal mission, which ever you prefer).  Along the way, you find other people that are apparently trying to kill Dracula too.  These people take it upon themselves to join you and offer what little help they can (the afore mentioned gay little pirate guy takes the "what little they can offer" part to and extreme).  The extra characters that I know of are the (twice mentioned) little gay pirate guy, some girl that uses magic or something, and Dracula's son Alucard (who appears in Symphony of the Night, for Playstation).  Once they join your party, you can play as them by pressing select (which I never did because all I had was the little gay pirate guy).  Now I guess I should get to the ratings.  The sound is basicly a carbon copy of 1 and 2 (which didn't actually surprise me).  The graphics are just barely a step up from number 2.  The gameplay is pretty good (at least I can jump and move at the same time).  The replay value is about average.  Overall, I give it a 6 of ten (it could easily make 8 without the gay pirate).  I guess my work is done for now.  See ya 'round.
The music that you are listening to is indeed the same music for castlevania 1 and from the NES menu of this site.  I put it here because I don't have any midis from 3 and I am pretty sure that this song is played somewhere in the game.
