In a Saturday, May 31, 2008 file photo, space shuttle Discovery
lifts off from pad 39a at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape
Canaveral, Fla. Towns around Cape Canaveral are bracing for a major
economic hit when the shuttle launches are retired in 2010. Up to
6,400 of the 8,000 area residents employed as contractors on the
shuttle program will lose their jobs, according to early NASA
estimates.

Satellite Map of the
location where I walked with my Senior High School friend Marilisa
without talking at around year 1976 after school. A1 is the bus stop
"Gedung Wanita" where we stepped down from the bus. A2 is another
bus stop where she waited for another bus, SMS bus, after walking
with me for around 50 meters. A3 is the junction of Diponegoro and
Cik Ditiro Street where the SMS bus appeared, with the route of
going upward on the road at the right of this map. A4 is the
location of a Tanker ship company where my friend Ferry worked. A5
is the residence of US Ambassador nearby a park called Taman
Suropati.

After writing my previous letter of "Phoenix
Mars Lander After My Marilisa Story" in the morning of 1 June 2008, in
the afternoon on TV came the news of NASA launching Discovery Space Shuttle on 31 May 2008 US Time, or 1 June 2008 Jakarta Time. The interesting thing is about the name
Discovery that reminds me with my old friend Ferry.
When I was walking for the first time with Marilisa after riding the same bus in
year 1976, that went without talking at all, she and I walked for around 50 meter from Gedung Wanita bus stop to the junction of Diponegoro and Cik Ditiro Street.
Then she waited for other bus at Cik Ditiro
Street, and later on I found out that she continued her journey on the bus named SMS.
That bus went straight ahead through Cik Ditiro Street whereas around one kilometer ahead there was the office of my old friend Ferry, to whom in
year 1982 my girl friend turned to. So my rare walking with-no-talking with Marilisa
in 1976 was like containing a message that later on I would experienced a
moment where a girl close to me would then went to my friend Ferry.
