Soccer match between European countries held every four years, the Euro 2008, ended with Spain winning the final match against Germany. The only one goal for Spain was made by Fernando Torres, as if following my recalling the moment of walking-with-no-talking with Marilisa toward the Cik Ditiro Street where my old friend Ferry’s office was. The final match was on June 29, 2008, or 30 June 2008 early morning Jakarta time, or several days after Discovery space shuttle landed on June 14, 2008.

An interesting thing of this Fernando Torres goal was because it was like preceded with the broken of a window glass by AC unit in the bedroom of my niece.

In that window glass accident, I purchased the new window glass in a shop that was beside an electronic service, "Noval" electric shop, a name that reminded me with a man who was announced as getting married with Rahma Sarita in 2001. It was a moment of broken heart for me like the previous broken heart in 1982 by my friend Ferry.

While the window that broken was in the bedroom of my niece Ananda, or usually called Nanda. So Fernando Torres' first name was like combining the Ferry's name and Nanda's name, while his last name Torres is like "to RS", whereas "RS" is the initial of Rahma Sarita.

It was again like to remind me that if I did the same mistake again like what happened to Rahma Sarita in 2001, there could be another huge disaster again in this world.

Sunday 29 June 2008 in the afternoon after having a meal, I watched TV for rather a long time, not yet bringing the dish to the kitchen to wash it. Around four o'clock during commercial break, I went to the kitchen to wash the dish I had used. At that moment the gardener Sakim was working something near the car that was parked in the driveway. It caused me to watch him, because I thought in the morning he had washed the cars, so why did he kept doing something with the car in the afternoon.

It was then all of a sudden my sister shouted "shoooo....!!!" as if trying to drive out a cat that sometimes jump to the dining table to steal some food. But I did not see any cat at that moment.

Then it turned to be an offend for me, because in the last several months, Sakim the gardener often reacted as if I liked to watch him form behind like a gay. I have no idea where did he gets the idea, but probably from certain people who like to do "character assassination" toward myself. And I usually had no problem with it, but that afternoon I really felt offended, I grumbled in my heart deeply.

When the next day the news spread that Spain won against Germany, it made me felt guilty to the German team. Because Spain is also known for their "Matador", whereas in Indonesian the word "mata" has the meaning of "eye". As if the incident of my watching the gardener one day earlier that turned to become indirect accusation as if I was a gay who liked to watch the gardener, and it hurt my feeling, had the share toward German's lost against Spain.

Especially after later on I remembered that German coach is Joachim Loewe, whereas his first name Joachim is a little bit similar to the gardener's name Sakim. I herewith apologize to the German team and fans.

But most of all, I am quite sure Spanish team was playing nicely that day, although since the beginning until the end of this year Euro Cup final round I never watched any single match, because my mind and energy were occupied in repairing the bathroom from termite damages.

"Flying Horse" in the foreground, this paint used to be the only brand of paint sold in small cans since I was a kid. So my buying it on 26 June 2008 was some kind of nostalgic moment.

The work of repairing bathroom sink required paint to be applied on the mirror frame and on the rack under the sink. At first I thought one small can would be enough, so I bought one in the nearby building-material shop. It appeared that the rack consumed plenty of paint, for the first, second and third layers.

The first and second cans of those required paint were bought at the same  shop, and the paint were "Altex". When it came the time to buy the third, after the second can appeared to be quickly emptied before the work finished, at 26 June 2008 on my way home from the Internet shop I stopped by at another building-material shop, nearby the Internet shop I used to work these letters.

There I found an old brand of paint, "Kuda Terbang", which means "Flying Horse". This kind of paint used to be the only brand of paint sold in small cans since I was a kid. So my buying it was some kind of nostalgic moment.

When I applied it at home, I remembered that this kind of paint was thicker, unlike the Altex that were thinner and quicker to dry. So I decided to buy another can, the same Altex again.

After the final match of Euro Cup at 29 June 2008, or 30 June 2008 early morning Jakarta time,  between Spain and Germany, I found that the only one goal, the winning goal for Spain, was made by Fernando Torres with "flying" moment. It was because when he ran and kicked the ball, the German goal keeper immediately dropped to the ground to stop the ball but failed, and it caused Fernando Torres to "fly" above him.

It was then I remembered the "Flying Horse" paint, that happened to have the color of red and yellow like the flag of Spain. When I purchased the "Flying Horse" paint, I was not thinking about Euro Cup matches, because my mind and energy were occupied in repairing the bathroom from termite damages.
