One day Ocean Pearl was looking through some photo albums and Aurora saw her and laughed ‘Pearly! Why are you sitting there on this gorgeous sunny day?’ she nodded towards the shining sun and the cool wind. Over on the South of Ponyland, a shimmering waterfall poured down. Ocean Pearl blushed and looked away. ‘Oh Aurora! I just feel… I don’t know! Regretful. Sometimes I wish I could be a kid again!’ Just then they heard a knock on the door. Aurora raced to answer it. ‘Hi Baby Jedi!’ she said to the small pony waiting at the door. ‘How are you, this lovely spring morning?’ ‘Just fine Aurora. How are you both?’ she looked quizzically at Ocean Pearl as if to be saying ‘Especially you!’ Aurora smiled and said quickly. ‘Pearly is feeling a little down today.’ She turned to Ocean and said quietly ‘I think I will go out with Baby Jedi. Are you all right by yourself?’ Baby Jedi, the smart little baby pony smiled toothily at her. Ocean nodded quickly. ‘I’ll be fine…’ Aurora and Baby Jedi shrugged at each other and headed out the door.

Aurora felt a bit guilty as she sailed out the door. As they were nearing down to Ponyland’s cool lakes she looked at Baby Jedi. ‘Baby Jedi,’ she asked. ‘Do you suppose we should do something for Pearly? She doesn’t seem too happy.’ Baby Jedi thought for a moment then her face lit up. ‘I know! Let’s make her a beautiful ring of the rarest leaves and flowers of Ponyland and tie them up so she can wear it!’ Aurora gasped. ‘What a perfect idea!’ Jedi laughed and they both ran towards the Grand Pony Tree where some of the juiciest, nicest leaves are grown. Standing near it was Starflash smiling and watering the roots. ‘Hi Baby Jedi, Aurora. Welcome! What would you like for this week’s visit?’ she smiled and continued. ‘You know what I heard? I heard the rotten Magoon, that Jungle Fakie took all of Pony Valley’s leaves! I do wish he never will come to Ponyland!’ Jedi, and Aurora nodded in agreement but then turned to the leaves. The Ponyland citizens could only collect leaves once a week and only 5. ‘We’d like to collect 5 Babyfun leaves!’ The Babyfun leaves were one of the rarest leaves and no one had yet used them. Starflash gasped. ‘Those are very special leaves. I have been told they have a special power but I am not sure what… Please ponies choose another!’ But Baby Jedi had already taken the leaves. ‘I am sorry Starflash. We need these!’ ‘Humph!’ said Starflash as the two ponies raced away.

Melody and Merry Treat were happily napping near the lake when loud hooves racing by awoke them. ‘What?’ Merry Treat said as Melody yawned and pointed. ‘Jedi and Aurora were racing by. ‘Woah! Ponyfeathers! Stop ponies! What is the rush?’ The two ponies glanced back and trotted to the couple lazing by the lake. ‘We are trying to make a leaf chain for Pearly. Do you have anything to contribute?’ ‘Sure we do!’ said Melody happily and pulled a few bright Reddyblue leaves from her bag. ‘Why does Ocean pearl want them, pony friend?’ ‘Oh she has just been feeling.. Err regretful!’ Thanks for the leaves!’ Then they raced away leaving Merry Treat and Melody to look bewildered.

Later that day, Jedi and Aurora happily sat under a pink tree, looking over their leaves and gatherings proudly. 'There is almost a leaf or leaves from all of Ocean Pearl’s favourite places! How good!’ exclaimed Baby Jedi. ‘Heavy hooves, there are more then 40 leaves!’ said Aurora in amazement. ‘I know!’ she said to Baby Jedi. ‘Let make her a bracelet with the leftovers!’ ‘Great idea!’ nodded Jedi. ‘We make the best team!’ Then the girls happily strung the leaves through a long piece of string and wires. They shrieked as a sudden fall of rain burst down and they danced and galloped all the way up to the cottage.

Rain poured down with a tinkle. Ocean Pearl sighed, as there was another knock at the door. This time Melody and Merry Treat were looking wet and concerned. ‘Come in ponies!’ said Pearly. ‘Don’t stand out there! How are you both?’ she carefully chatted with them until they were satisfied that Ocean Pearl had been ‘cheered up’ When they left she thought for a moment then whispered a rhyme she used to whisper when she was little. A rhyme her mum taught her to sing on rainy days.

Rainy days do come and go,
But how am I supposed to know?
When one will come, when one will end,
When I can be happy and well again.
Rain O rain, there you swish
Rain, O rain bring me a wish,
That rainbows and clouds will come down from the sky
And teach me how to fly so high
Away from the rain,
Away from the pain,
And bring me my favourite wish..

Ocean Pearl always used to end it with ‘That Baby Chief will kiss me!’
But now she whispered to herself: ‘that I was a kid again…’

Then suddenly, Baby Jedi and Aurora burst through the door tracking mud and water. They held out something for Ocean Pearl. She took it and glanced at it. The leaves had been artistically curled and made into a crown, necklace and bracelet for her! Her favourite leaves were on there blowing around from the breeze from the door. She and Aurora used to make these all the time! She hugged them and they all giggled happily. Then Ocean Pearl suddenly sang her poem again. Then there was a bolt of lightning just as she said the last word. Suddenly she felt herself transforming. A few moments later she looked up. Her door seemed a lot… bigger…

She looked around to see Aurora and Baby Jedi and to her surprise she saw them, much smaller and much younger! They were… they were… kids again! From the looks of the other two’s face she realised she must’ve transformed too! But.. She thought in confusion, Baby Jedi wasn’t born when we were young… But she didn’t care. They were all young again and could do all the things they couldn’t do now again! What joy! Oh what fun! But judging by the other ponies face, she realised they weren’t exactly as happy as her…

‘Wow!’ she said in a baby voice. ‘The present must’ve triggered a wish with that lightening bolt!’ ‘Watt wish do (did) u make Dearly (Pearly)?’ said Jedi in a small voice. ‘I wished we were all dids (kids) again!’ she exclaimed. ‘Uh oh…’ cried Aurora.
‘I want something to eat!’ cried Pearly. Suddenly she found herself bawling. Expecting one of the adults to come she sat waiting and when no one came she stopped. ‘Where dis everyone?’ said Aurora worriedly. They crawled outside and looked around. To their surprise, sitting where Sweetheart had been dozing was a small pony. A baby pony! ‘Oh.My.God.’ Pearly exclaimed, looking around. All of Ponyland were BABIES! Everywhere she looked were small ponies that used to be big, strong ponies. Lady Minty was chewing her hoof happily. ‘Pearly!’ Baby Jedi cried. ‘Look!’ Baby Jedi was pointing east where a black pony was sneaking in past LIPS who was Ponyland’s official guard. LIPS was checking out her shoe as if it was the most amazing thing on earth. He laughed evilly. Obviously Ocean Pearl, Aurora and Baby Jedi were the only ponies in their grown up mind! The black pony had dark navy hair and no symbol. Suddenly the ponies realised who he was! It was Magoon, the Jungle Fakie! Known for his disastrous plans, he often left his murky town to find innocent creatures and try and take over their town. Ocean Pearl tried to run and get him but she found she only crawled at a slow rate. They would have to devise a plan to stop this evil person from getting their PONYLAND!

‘Ok guys! I have an idea!’ Finally after hours of thinking Aurora had come up with a practical idea. Ocean Pearl eagerly leaned forward (as far as she could go before she fell over anyway) ‘He thinks we are only babies! We can trick him by setting up booby traps everywhere. He won’t know what hit him!’ Baby Jedi nodded. ‘I may be a baby, like I always have, but I know how to use my power!’ Baby Jedi was Ponyland’s smartest baby pony.

‘Nasty ponies, and burglars and crooks’
She chanted:
‘Make an evil pony want to book
By booby traps and other things,
Make him fall, burn or spring,
Far away from our sweet town
Instead of leaving it bleak and brown’

Suddenly there was a little tinkle and they opened the door. And a huge pot of glue came tumbling down on Aurora. ‘Uh oh..’ Baby Jedi said.

After Aurora was clean and happy, they were walking back to their cottage when they heard a shout. Magoon was sitting in a puddle CRYING. They raced over, though cautiously, wondering if it could be a trick. But when he saw them he backed away. ‘Don’t hurt me-please! I beg you!’ ‘What?!’ cried B Jedi. Ocean Pearl looked around to see whom he was talking to. When she realised he was talking to THEM she gasped. ‘But Magoon! You have wrecked or damaged tons of other pony cities! Why not this one?’ ‘I never meant to!’ he argued tearfully. ‘But when they saw me they all were mean and tried to get me away and I hadn’t even said hello! I just want a place to stay, instead of my lonely, lonely jungle…’ Aurora shook her head. ‘That still doesn’t explain why you destroyed their cities. ‘To get them back of course!’ he answered and the ponies couldn’t help feeling sorry for him. ‘It’s alright Magoon, I have a offer for you. As long as you promise NEVER to destroy another pony village, no matter what they do, you can stay in Ponyland and I am sure in time, all the ponies will like you, if you just show them your nice, gentle side.’

Magoon grinned suddenly. ‘Deal!’ he said and all the ponies beamed. ‘Ok then! Welcome!’ ‘But Ocean Pearl, how will we get the other ponies AND us back to normal?’ said Aurora in a concerned manner. ‘Oh I think I can fix that!’ said Magoon joyously.
‘Mittens, and Kittens and everything nice,
Put these ponies back right!’

Suddenly all the ponies raced out of their houses and screamed at the sight of Magoon. Magoon looked down as if to say, you see?
But soon the ponies explained everything and even Starflash, who hated him before was happy to accept him. At the end of the day Lady North Star smiled as Kingsley put up his paw and said ‘I now pronounce, you, Magoon as one of Ponyland’s Friends! Long live the friends!’ And he and Magoon was best friends forever
After.

Ocean Pearl has stopped feeling, regretful. When the others asked why, she said ‘Well! Don’t you all think we’ve had enough Baby Fun for one day?’ Then all the ponies sat near the lake and watched the beauty of the setting sun reflect and shimmer on the lakes calm surface..
