After you visit with some of Lady Minty's adopted critters, you notice a special field that
seems somehow set aside, as if it is reserved for a certain resident. You take a few
steps forward, then suddenly freeze when you see a large creature lounging in the sun.
A lioness... And now she's standing up and serenely walking toward you. You grimace. Perhaps now would be a good time to turn and run the other way as quickly as possible... And then you notice a Woozle standing beside you. He notices your fear and quickly says, "Oh, don't worry about Esmerelda! She wouldn't hurt a horsefly." "But..." you stammer, "she's... She's a lion!" "Well, yes," the Woozle replies. "A Star Light Lion, to be exact. But she's also a vegetarian." As if to stress the fact that she's friendly, Esmerelda bumps her forehead against your hand, begging to be petted. "Esmerelda was a special present to Lady Minty from her friend High Flier," the Woozle explains. "A link to High Flier's site will be coming shortly; she's currently in the process of relocating. We are very grateful to HighFlier for this lovely gift!" Then Esmerelda lets out a yawn and strolls off to return to her nap. You certainly are meeting some unusual -- and nifty -- critters here at CloverFlower Fields! |
Slowly
the creature rolls over and stretches. It has four enormous paws (complete with sharp
claws!), a swishing tufted tail, and large feline eyes. It would look like a lioness, except
for the fact that it has a large pair of graceful green wings on its back.
