Comments: A thousand thanks for putting together this awesome Cloz webpage. My father is Joseph Zanoni Jr. who was born in Cloz in 1915 and moved to Melrose Park, Illinois in 1927. I spent 3 weeks in Cloz about fourteen years ago with my father and mother (Catherine Zanolini - whose parents were from Fondo) and loved every minute of it. In Sept, 2000, I attended the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School reunion for all the graduating classes from 1914 - 2000. They did a very nice job of honoring Fr. Benjamin Franch for all he did for the parish. I heard many of the older graduates relate stories about their encounters with Father Franch and gained a much greater appreciation for this dedicated man of God from Cloz.

Great picture of Aldina her youngest son Pierluigi is one of my old running buddies. Aldina's brother Don Luciano (my fathe s bestfriend from childhood) has done alot of research on the Franch family and discovered the family crest which we have a copy of.

Our interest in family history led to the project of my extracting the birth, death and marriage records of Cloz from 1565 to 1900.
