The club you are attempting to access is listed as "Private." Please do not take this as a personal affront or comment on your desirability as a prospective member. There can be several reasons for this choice by the founders of the club.

1. Limited Interest.
   The subject matter or topic upon which the club was founded was not expected to have a wide based appeal. Perhaps, it was intended as a chat club for family members, for a rendevous for a specific group of friends or an offline club, for an employment related exchange.
2. Public Harrassment.
   There are persons who consider it humorous to post insulting material in clubs generally. Particularly prone to such harrassment are clubs dealing with religious or serious issues which can become targeted by pornographers and other irreverent individuals. While deleting offensive posts, graphic materials, and administratively deleting the membership of the offender offers a short-term solution, sometimes the only way to exclude such a person on a permanent basis is to make the club membership by invitation only.
3. Adult Subject Matter.
   Clubs which prefer to address adult subject matter are required by Yahoo! to restrict their membership according to age appropriate guidelines--that is: Yahoo! makes them private on creation or at such time when it (Yahoo!) deems the language and continuing subject matter to be adult only.
