For those of you'll are familiar with Star Trek, will probably quickly realized that none of this material is actually connected with Star Trek. Well, it's true Star Trek and he isn't true Star Trek. A little while ago, I stumbled across and e-mailed based role playing game called soul trek. And I have been participating with it ever sense. The stuff here is all material that I have created in direct relation to my adventures within Soul Trek.
It should be noted that none of this material used directly connected with Star Trek or even Soul Trek for that matter. So you have to take everything you find here wasn't good healthy dose of salt. I am also obliged to tell you that Star Trek is created by Gene Roddenberry, and is copyrighted by Paramount Picture. Do not be a pirate.

History
Born in 1969 at Wichita Ks. Steven had
an unremarkable childhood, with the exception that he continued to be plagued
by poor grades in school. He also had a reputation for taking risks
as a thrill seeker. On graduation of High School, Steven enlisted
in the US Navy and served for three years as a sub volunteer. Eventually
reaching the rank of PO1st before seeking a commission as an officer.
All though his grads were still average, his capacity to excel was clear
and he was eventually trained as a Navy Combat Pilot. He reached
rank of Lieutenant Commander and even requested training under the Top
Gun program.
Then, on December 29th, 1999, while running a routine training mission, Steven and 12 others in his flight squadron encountered an unknown phenomenon. Only Steven's skill as a pilot saw him throw the distortion, but was then forced to land without permission at Tokyo Horizontal Landing Field.
Shortly after that incident, Steven Kopper filed for a commission with Star Fleet. Because of his still standing rank (at the time of his disappearance) with US Navel Command, his request was granted, and an honorary rank of Jr. Lieutenant was assigned, then ordered to receive a remedial Officer Training at the San Francisco Academy. He was given one promotion, to the rank of Lieutenant.
His grades at the Academy were either moderate, or poor, with a noted disregard for authority. Especially with the serving faculty. However, his poor grades can not explain unparalleled performance with simulations and live exercises. His quibbles with the faculty were judged by his supiros simply as a difference of a command stile that he is use to, as well as an aggressive drive to acquire skills and training.
It is also noted my High Command of his loss
from his abrupt time displacement, since he left a wife and five year old
girl daughter. All though Steven denies it, physiological review
suggests that he is still in mooring for his loss of his family.

Traditions:
Typical traditions and customs for a US citizen
for the late 20th century.
Talents:
Steven has an aggressive thinking style, considering
any number of consequences for any given action, and selecting the best
option. He can then back up that option with swift and decisive action,
whether physical, or mental.
Likes:
Rock and Role (Can play the eclectic guitar)
extreme sports, spelunking, sky diving, and Arial combat simulations (Took
the Academy Virtual Arial Dog Fighting Trophy for both years he was at
the Academy), Parrises Square, working out, model ship/airplane building.
Dislikes:
Sitting around, art, any thing that
has to do with wealth, self absorbed people, transporters,

Strong Beliefs:
Duty, honor, American values such as freedom,
democracy, and freedom of religion, and good old rock and role.
Limitations:
Steven has a short temper, and vary little
tolerance to taunting.
Strengths:
As a self proclaimed "thrill seeker" Steven
is first to volunteer for even dangerous actions. He seems to be
at home, whether on foot, in a shuttle cockpit, or at a console.
And can quickly adapt to any environment or situation, and is usually the
first to not when a situation has changed.
Ambitions:
Steven's ultimate ambition is to return to
the cockpit some day. Or at the vary least, master inter-stellar navigation
and starship piloting. Operations Officer is a first step to achieving
that goal, as well as to gain "blue water" experience.

Special abilities:
He has the capacity to remain cool under fire,
no mater how tense or chaotic the situation is. He is difficult to
take by surprise or to catch off guard.
Quirks:
Routinely brags about brag-able things, something
of a show off. Hangs fuzzy dice from the opps console. Fashion
sense is a few centuries behind the times
A recommendation:
"Lieutenant Steven Kopper has the nerve to
think himself invincible, and will probably continue to believe so until
some one finds a way to proves him wrong. However, he will make a
fine addition to Star Fleet, regardless of his serves in the Academy, provided
he does not serve on my ship." - The "Devil" of Star Fleet Academy whose
classroom is nicknamed "Hell"

Personal Note:
(Standard Assignment Request Forum from the
Academy) With all things being equal, I would prefer a non-combat
mission. The reasons for this request are this, I have already been
a combat pilot. I have been trained to bomb, strafe, and destroy.
I understand that Star Fleet has a strong tradition in exploration and
first contact. Respectfully sir, that is the desirable assignment.
Career:
Steven's original carrier goals were to further
his combat piloting skills, and to be counted among the best of the best.
He has served in Panama, Desert Storm, and Cosivo. Until Star Fleet,
all of his assignments were "combat" in nature, and his only now begging
to consider the possibilities of the exploration fleet.

Personal History
Hazel was not born. But created in accordance
to the Nanite Order's special arrangement with Starfleet and the United
Federation of Planets. Her programming is primary the operation system
of the I-16E Razor Rabbit Interceptor, as well as over all advance
engineering systems. The first two years of her life was spend becoming
accustom to the cyber-network that makes up the cerebral network of the
Rabbit. When Nanites were introduce to the system, the personality
that now makes up Hazel began to take shape.
Character's Attributes
This charter is under no certain terms, a
small car sized interceptor. Any and all "Human" interactions take
place by proxy using a HI, or Holographic Interface. It is the HI
that is known as Hazel.

Hazel's position over personal sovereignty
is some what unusually, give her statues as an auxiliary craft. All
though she is sentient, she is under no uncertain terms, property of Starfleet.
But she is not enslaved. According to her, it is simply a reality
of her existence. This view is common among all Nanites.

Limitations
Hazel is a hologram, and is limited to area
where there is a holographic projection system, or within 100 foot from
the Rabbit. A communication link is vital if she is to egoist in
other holographic environments. The Rabbit also dose not use a Library
Data Protocol, so Hazel is not a store if Infiniti knowledge and facts.
Nor can she just "learn a language" or other skills.
Strengths
Lightning quick reflexes and an uncannily
computing ability. Especially when it comes to space, and space time
phenomenon.
Ambitions
Hazel has no real ambitions other than to
server her pilot (currently is Steven Kopper) and to be as efficient and
effective and auxiliary craft as possible. However, Captain
Max Tara has given Hazel more responsibility as a member of the Engineering
Staff. It remains to be seen if Hazel will push the opportunity.

Eventually all the founding members settled on for branches. The Executive, the Legislature, the Judicial, and the Ambassadorial. All of for these branches served as system of checks and balances to keep any wanted to branch from controlling wielding more power and was originally intended by the founding members.
The President of United Federation Planets Primary the Is to Enforce the Laws That Had Been Created by the Less Legislature.
Lower houses made up of the body elected officials that are selected by the population's of each planet. These officials usually serve for your terms a conserve no more then two consecutive terms. However they are free to return to the house after sitting out at least one term if the population so chooses.
The function the Lower House is essentially to debate, amend, vote on, and in act various forms of the legislation for issues that effect issues between each planetary body.
The Upper House consists of any number of various officials that usually nominated by they're perspective planetary governments. These officials have additional qualifications in order to qualify for their office, usually having credentials in the higher institutions of learning, as well as long and distinguished service in the public sector. The nature of their nominations very between houses, offices and planets. But these officials are usually professors, scientists, distinguished years, distinguished warriors, or philosophers.
The function of the Upper House is primarily to research, debate, and establish potential legislation that is relevant to issues that effect the town good of the Federation. The upper House also has the option to veto by two-thirds majority any legislation that the Lower House would approve.
It is the function of the Judicial Branch to interpret the laws asked how they effect relationships between all the member worlds as well as policy affecting relationships with non member worlds.
However despite its black reputation, the Ambassadorial Council is nothing short of the glue that holds all of the member worlds together to form the Federation. The Ambassadorial Council does not have any specific functions other than to speak for the governments of the member worlds or to speak for their particular member worlds culture and individual Ambassador. This Council can often suggest legislation, oversee the executive branch, or challenge legal precedents and represent these issues to the Supreme Court. But largely this Council is merely a Council for localized in the wind ranging opinions taking into account of everything from observations of the function of government to the concerns of religious ideology of the member worlds.
Ambassadorial Council also supervisors the exchange various ambassadors as well as being a repository for injured planetary relationships between both the non member worlds in the member worlds. This is because of the sheer number of worlds and governments that can be rear represented it is not possible for all worlds to be represented to all neighboring governments. As a result the Ambassadorial Council is not immune to influence from non member worlds as well as even hostile governments including Romulans and the Cardasians. Some even joke that the Romuleans have two seats.
There was even a scandel when two lavitory stales in a restroom often used by the male ambassidors was ingraved with the Romulan Consolets names in a simuler maner that each Ambasidor had there offices identified. The Romulen Cosolet was natrely offended and formaly patitioned the chair to remove the ingravings at once. All though a sireuce breach of diplomatic protocal, what happend next marked proably one of the most embarsing scanels in the counsels history. The Romulans patition was recognized by 82% of the body. A patition that was introduced eliigaly into the body by a clear violation of protocals. (The mater should have been taken to the building superintendent.) There were some calles that the Romulens wheiled undo inflence in the counsel.
The most formable expect of the Borg, is there endurance, flexibility, and adaptability. Over 90% of a Borg invasion cube can be destroyed without any discernable comprise of there fighting capabilities. Also significant is the boarding and assimilation capability of Borg marine troops. It is estimated that a single Borg drone can rapidly assimilate a starship from within, even as it is engaged from without.
Clearly, the needs for new starships that imply the latest in anti-Borg technology are critical. So far, three entirely new classes have been created to full fill this need. The Borg Killer classes a variation of the Dreadnought. The Heavy Fighter-Bomber classes shuttle. And the Flat Deck Carrier.
Because of the newness of the Class, no keel had yet to be laid, with nearly all aspects of it's design still relegated to the design and computer testing stage. However, its hull is said to largely conform to the traditional Enterprise hull with the addition of two mega-phasor cannon mounts arcing across the saucer section. One mounting arch will be laid in the traditional for and aft firing arcs. While the second will be laid cross wise, for firing arcs to port and starboard. A similar firing mounts will be made for the photon torpedoes. This is to take full advantage of the "circling" strategy that has worked well against the Borg so far.
But every thing else about the ship is nothing
short of revolutionary. Here is a list of some of the thinking going
into the design.
[ Inxed2 | Top
| Home ]
Another strategy being readied actually has
a lot more short term promise, and is already being brought on line.
The strategy of the swarm. Instead of designing a starship with a
decentralized system to mimic a Borg cube, an armada of smaller, more expendable
"mini-starships" will be sent. With numbers ranging in the hundreds,
or even thousands. Such a fleet could retain an effective fighting
strength with as much as 50% loss. To a large extent, this strategy
has already been employed, but using costly and sluggish Starships, each
takes as long as five years to be produced. What is needed, is a
heavy fighter. One that can be manufactured in months, rather than
years. Or now considered to be the Heavy Fighter Bomber class shuttle.
[ Inxed2 | Top
| Home ]
The HF-16 is essentially a five person starship. Pilot, co-pilot, weapons, computer operator, and engineer. But by far, the largest shuttle ever made. With an unprecedented power and weapons system. For only a five person crew, this monster still measures 120 meters from bow to stern, features it's own computer core. The Razor Eagle also employs a some what outdated rail cannon weapons system with a high tech twist to deploy eight high capacity anti-mater warheads. Each with a yelled 10 times that of a normal photon torpedo. Mid-battle reapers and even "up-to-the-second" modifications will be implemented by a teaming of holographic, and transporter/ replicater technologies. A damaged part can be beamed out, and replaced with a replicated part that is beamed into it's place. Nanite and positronic technologies are also key.
Each Razor Eagle has a positronic computer core that is fully sentient, but with remarkable computer powers and defensive capabilities.
But most key to the Razor Eagle, is its size. It is estimated that one factor could turn out one Eagle in a month when fully tooled.
The Interceptor is a slightly larger version of the Technical Trainer, sacrificing the two rear seats for larger power buffers needed for more advanced and less impatient weapon systems, as well as force shields that can take more punishment. It will also feature a more flexible sincere palate.
Production of the Interceptor is being placed on hold until more is know about how the Technical Trainer performs and how it is used in the fleet. It is already expected that the I-16 will have any number of variations.
So a new, some what unusual program was adopted. The T-16 Razor Rabbit is a specially designed trainer built to train the pilots for the complex system of the Eagle was recruited to provide a vehicle to test the new technologies out into the field. But its capabilities became astonishingly obvious even from the simple formula stage of its conception.
The Razor Rabbit features a twin anti-mater reactor, just as the Razor Eagle and Picard class Starship will imply, but because of the Rabbit's small size, it's thrust to mass radio is unmatched by any thing in the air, or in the stars. Its maneuverability is so extreme, that testing trials even proved that it could evade the targeting systems of most starships.
A chunk of the cabin was needed for the new
system, leaving only room for four passengers. The cabin only is
as large as a small car. Crew and passenger access is achieved throw
an lifted transparent aluminum, canopy.
[ Inxed2 | Top
| Home ]
Because of its unprecedented maneuverability,
a bionic control system is used instead of the
Vector-coordinate key pad used for nearly
all shuttles and starships. (A bionic system is the use of a joystick,
throttle, and foot pedals for a more analog response.) As a result,
this craft is much harder to fly, even by standard Starfleet pilot training.
Another aspect of the T-16E is the Holographic Interface or HI, a variation over the Emergency Medical Hologram (EMH). The HI system is designed for several functions.
Sense the computer core, and sentient nanite integrates to produce a fully sentient system, its interaction with the outside world will be important to its wellbeing, as well as being critical to the systems cooperation in various function and missions. This interaction will also allow it to integrate with its pilot and crew on a far more intimate level.
The HI allows it to maintain itself as well,
requiring vary few recourses from its host ship. And virtually zero
manpower for its own maintenance and repairs. Some of the HIs have
even been given responsibility for hanger and shuttle maintenance, stretching
many of the ships already stretched personnel rosters.
[ Inxed2 | Top
| Home ]
The HI has a limit to its roving range as well. Unless there is a holographic system that the HI can connect with, the HI can only exist about 100 feet from the craft. There is a portable holographic emitter that is about the size of a suite case. The HI can operate within 50 feet of the unit, for about six days, provided that there is a stable holographic communication link between the emitter, and the craft. Another problem with the emitter is that the HI can not move it while being projected from it.
Some of its other features are:
It also has a vary limited range. It can take only short interstellar trips and there are few source-destinations that are close enough to meet its range.
So the need to deploy the Razor Eagle, (or other system) is critical. Because of the shear size of the Razor Eagle, the normal throw deck starship will not be adequate, so a strategy similar to what was used for navel aircraft carriers will be used. The saucer section of the hull will be flattened out, and extended, and the Razor Eagles will land, be stored, and transported on the exciter hull. Being brought into a hanger only for maintenance and arming. Crew can board the Razor Eagle during a scramble vea special access hoods, or transporter systems.
All though current design will make this starship particularly venerable, it is intended to rely on it's fleet of supporting Razor Eagles for it's one security. According to older 20th century strategies however, the flat deck carrier with a full complement of Razor Eagles will be an even more powerful fighting force then a small flotilla of starships.
The first flat deck carrier is expected to be laid town in two years.
The In-ruw is strictly an attempt to build, operate, and maintain a Borg stile cube. This cube is only a 1/50th, the size of a Borg incursion cube, but should be a reasonable model of the real thing with experiments in total decentralization, using any and all existing data on Borg technology.
The In-ruw's construction was started shortly after the second incursion, and is said to be progressing nicely. Already, it's construction has aided the designs of both the USS Picard, and the Razor Eagle Heavy Fighter.
Originally manufactured in Dakar, Senegal, these devices possess gigabytes of mechanical computer memory. They were designed to have exposure only to the inside of a nuclei during sir cellular surgeries, and were generally kept in a non functioning state when not in use.
In 2366, Wesley Crusher conducted experiments in nanite interaction. The studies went awry, resulting creation of a self replicated, sentient nanites. The nanites interfered with the Enterprise D onboard systems and nearly jeopardized a landmark astrophysical experiment conducted by Dr. Paul Stubbs before the nanites wore recognize to be sentient life forms. The nanites were later granted colonization rights on planet Kavis Alpha. These particular nanites later called themselves the Nanites Order. Nanites were briefly considered by Enterprise D. personnel and a Possible Defense against the Borg during the Borg Offensive the 2367. To plan was abandoned because it was believed it would take two to three weeks the nanites to have an effect, far too long to save Earth from the Borg.
At first in the desperate struggle for survival,
the nanites interfered with the mining operation by interfering with their
systems in a similar manner that they interfered with the Enterprise Ds
systems. But later, when their condition stabilized, sought to make
contact with the minors and to assist them with their mining operation.
When communication with the nanites water was re-establish with the assistance
of the legal minors with Federation authorities, full mining rights were
granted to the minors. As of this writing the illegal enterprise
is now completely legitimized, and had began to explore full colonization
together. These colonies are governed by an organization calling
themselves the Macro Nanite Order.
[ Inxed2 | Top
| Home ]
He did not take long for new technologies to emerge between the unions of the minors and nanites cooperation. Eventually the Nanite Order opted for a remarkably bold strategy of building their kind into a completely integrated species of sentient life forms into macro (outside) society. This involves the union of a number of nanite colonies with the operating system of some of the most advanced computer technologies currently known to Federation science. This is only one candidate, of which the Nanite Order is exploring, including an eventual integration of nanite colonies into all forms of infrastructure and general technologies.
One particular avenue that they are exploring currently, is integration of nanite colonies into enjoyed life forms. The interaction of the nanites with conventional computer technology results with a sentient life forms similar to that of Lieutenant Commander Data without the extremely complicated positronic matrix. This new type of sentient computer is not just limited to applications involving androids, but is also been applied to a wide variety of computer systems including the cutting edge of Borg fighting technology. It is through these technologies that the nanites hope to interact with the larger society and culture has equals. These units will be persons in their own right, as well as emissaries to the rest of the nanites colonies. These individuals are usually referred to as N.C.C. or nanite communication colonies. The Nanites Order is working closely with Start Fleet to develop these technologies, as well as for this explicit purpose full repealing further Borg invasion. The Nanite Order has expressed the specific desire to assist in Defense of the Federation if it is required for full participation of all nanite kind.

It is equally unfortunate that the Astromarine Core can not so readily separate itself from hard core military activity, and yet this institution has always shared a close tie with the Navy from all areas and ages. The current Starfleet is no different. Some of the larger starships even house several deviations of Marines to more effectively see to ships security, as well as for rapid ground deployment into hot spots. Strategies to meet the Borg also involve Astromarines.
The Astromarine Core has it's own command staff, all the way up to the current General who is an equal pear to Admiral Kelly, who answers directly to the President of the United Federation of Planets. They also have there own ranks, as well as a slightly different way of marking them on there uniforms.
The are trained in all forms of combat, but especially in terms of heavy weaponry.
Astromarines operate a little differently than from Starfleet.
Under the Command of Captain Max Tara, the Mystery served in its designed capacity until it was assigned to examine a worm hole. But during the course of the investigation, the crew was forced to abandoned ship, and the Mystery was destroyed by hostile actions near the event horizon of the worm hole. Many details of the encounter are still classified.
For six years, the mater was largely considered to be closed, until the Mystery was found to be adrift, intact, in the Bata- quadrant. Other than a few missing supplies, a missing shuttle craft, and a computer core completely wiped clean of any data, the ship was in perfect condition.
With the state of Soul Fleet to be so short of starships, the salvaged Mystery was quickly placed into refit, and Captain Max Tara returned to it's bridge. Only this time, with a far more haunting aura about it.
For one thing, there are questions as to the real identity of the ship. Is it the real Mystery miraculously reassembled by unknown forced, or was its destruction some kind of elusions? Still other theories suggest that it is a temporal copy, or perhaps a lost ship from a parallel dimension.
But there are other less spectacular theories, if not far more sinister ones. It has been suggested that the Mystery is in fact another ship with all of it's serial numbers changed. There is also indications that many of the crew personnel have "history's" with Temporal Investigations. As few have even had attempts on there lives, leaving every one to wonder if the Mystery wasn't meant to be destroyed, and thus removing many problems to the forces of corruption that seemed to have rooted themselves in Temporal Investigations.
There is however, no real data to support of deny any of the theories.
The portal was discovered with a heavy armored door and a heavy aluminum shelf built on top of that, forming a formidable barricade. This discovery implies that the Mystery was manned by a second crew following its destruction. The crew then erected the barricade, only to disappear without a trace.
Unfortunately, the barricade was largely artificial since the portal remained open the whole time. The shelves have been removed, but the heavy armored doors remain in place to close off the portal if the need should arise.
Of even far graver concern, is what lays on the other side. An entirely different universe. This one is filled with an odd arraignment of columns, plates, dishes, and cables, all of witch are made of a material that can not be damaged by any known means. Each plate or dish is suspended in place by a network of columns and hollow cables. In this universe, it appears to be theoretically possible to walk on foot, from one side of the universe, to the other. Faster than light travel is impossible because of the amount of mater that has to be navigated. There are other oddities with this environment. It seems that the entire universe is filled with an M-class atmosphere, and a constant gravity field. But the normal laws to now seem to apply to this world where the air pressure seemed to be constant in regards to altitude.
The entire universe is filled with a class M atmosphere, allowing a diverse plant, and animal life to live on the plats, and oceans filled with marine life in the dishes. Many of the animals are capable of flight including a cast area of man eating predators.
This inner space is also occupied by sentient life forms. The most notable of witch is called "The Darkness", witch appears to be a totalitarian empire and has demonstrated hostilities towards the Federation. They appear to command a variation of technologies that is unknown to federation physics, and yet about equal to Federation capabilities. It is just that their technologies doses not operate vary well outside there own dimension.
Tow other forces have also been observed, including a lose coalition of "Kings" and a poorly understood race of non-corporal beings that call themselves "Spirits" that are engaged in a war between each other when permitted by the lack of activities by the Darkness. Simply considering the vastness, other political forces are inevitable.
Large wooden "starships" have been observed maneuvering throw air as if under anti-gravity power. Some look to be sail powered, while other appear to rely on an internal drive of some kind. However there decks are open decks that offer no protection from the vacuum of space. Smaller craft that are clearly faster and more maneuverable have also been observed.
Force filed and an energy weapon similar to federation technology has also been observed.
It is not know if there exist a computer and communication component. Despite there clear advances, soldiers are routinely observed being armed and doing battle with conventional sword technologies.
It should be noted that the principles that separate these two technologies are so different, that they are completely tactically incompatible. According to current observations, federation technology cannot take inner space technology and vice versa. It is probably the same when it comes to detecting, jamming, intercepting, and interpreting communications (assuming that inner space has a federation equivalent to communication and computer technology).
