inertial electrostatic confinement
My name is colin heath. And iv built this page to show my efforts in amateur fusion
The first model i am building is a demo fusor to hone my vacuum technique.
once i have this right then on to some real fusion.
as i learn more about this i will add theory pages and links to good sources of info pending there permission
ok here are some pics of my setup so far
To the left is the edwards two stage rotary vacuum pump
in the middle is the vacuum chamber then to the right is the vacuum gauge with pirani probe
amongst all the other junk on my bench
Here is a pic of the outer grid that will sit inside the vacuum chamber and be at positive earth
which will be approx 5kv above the centre grid which will be 10kv negative
Here is the inner grid which is a meiro grid such named after the person to get this grid working the bottom of the pic is the high voltage feedthrough into the vacuum chamber next is the insulator which is a tig welding shroud until my white alumina arrives inside is a spring holding the grid ontop and making the electrical connection
