Do you have problems with sending and receiving virtual postcards? We analyzed typical questions and errors you may experience.
I get this message saying "Sorry! Authorization Error"
This means that you came to the site by a re-direct URL. A simple way to get out of this is by clicking here.
I get this message saying "Sorry! Invalid Email Syntax"
The e-mail address you entered is not valid. Double check on your @ symbol.
I can't send my e-card to multiple e-mail addresses.
Multiple e-mails are not allowed in the To: field. However, I received this great tip from a visitor. It's pretty simple. Make up the card, and make it out "To:" friends and family (no specific names) and then e-mail it to yourself and from there forward it to all the recepients. Each of them will be getting the same URL to preview the same card.
I get this message saying "Sorry! Wrong Card Number"
This means that you have not entered a valid card number. You should have 15 digits (no letters, commas, periods, special characters, etc.) as your claim ticket.
I cannot send or view my e-card.
When this happens, the postcard server, My Postcards, is down for either a maintenance service or hardware crash. Please come back in a couple of days or hours to send or receive your cards. NO CARDS should be lost when the system crash!
I clicked on the edit button after I previewed the card to change my message. However, my message got deleted.
Depending on your internet service provider, your entry may be erased once you edit your message. Just copy and paste your message when you know you're going to edit. To copy, highlight (left click and drag) the message and right click to "copy" or Ctrl+C (Windows) or Apple+C (Mac). Make sure when you hit submit that you entered your e-mail, name information once again.
Do I need a claim ticket to send my e-card?
No. Claim tickets are for those picking up / viewing their cards.
How much does it cost to send an e-card?
Nothing! This service is free brought to you by Get Up Close and Personal with Michelle and My Postcards.
How do I send a postcard?
It's simple as 1,2,3! First, choose the cute baby of your choice. Then fill out your message. Enter the information such as name, e-mail, etc. To add some more snaz to your card, select your choice of background color, font color, and music. Note: by adding music, this can cause your card to load slow. Finally click on "click here to proceed". It's that simple and free!
I mailed my friend an e-card and I haven't received a confirmation letter if she already picked it up.
Your postcard will be stored for two weeks. If you do not receive a notice that your posty has been picked up during this time, it may mean that the recipient's e-mail you typed was invalid, or that this person has not picked up the card.
I do not see a SEND button!
This is because for some reason, the page did not load all the way. Try reloading the page. If that does not work, use your browsers back button to go back to the previous page, then use your browsers forward button.
I am not receiving any sound on my card!
This is probably the most frequently asked question. There are many reasons that you may not be hearing the sound.
Is your computer equipped for sound?
Are your speakers connected properly and your volume is turned up? (I know...but I had to ask!)
Are you waiting long enough for the sound to download? Some of the music files are fairly large, and may take a minute or two to
download to your computer and begin to play.
Does your browser support sound files?
Do you have the proper plug-in to allow your browser to play the sounds?
For any other questions or comments please sign my guestbook or send me an e-mail. Spread the good news. Tell your friends about this site. Thanks!
