I am sending this to you because I thought you might be interested in some of these really cool websites. Thank GOD for IV ministries. Your fellowship/ministry is so very strategic as a beacon of light on the college campus. As you well know, if one isn't saved, satan always has a detour for them with the illusion and vaccuum of the whole "party scene". I realize that your ministry/fellowship is so vital due to the fact that the enemy of our souls seems to have strongholds over the college campuses of our country. I wanted to drop a quick note and recommend a few websites that might be of interest and edification to your ministry and fellowship. The first is Christian Research Institute. CRI has done the research and found the evidence for what believers already know is true. For example, how we know that the Bible is GOD's inerrant Word. One of many proofs is the validity of prophecy. As you probably know 1 fourth of the Bible is prophecy. Jesus Christ fulfilled over 300 details of meticulous prophecy in His birth, life, death, and resurrection, that were laid out in the Old Testament (that was written at least 500 years before the incar ation of the King of Kings. No other "religeous" writing has any fulfilled prophecy in it! Other religeous writings actually have scientific errors in them. Manuscript and Archaological Evidence further solidify the inerrancy of scripture. Hank Hanegraaff, president of CRI has also written a book called the Face that Demonstrates the Farce of Evolution. He hosts a live call in radio show that broadcasts daily at 3:05 PT and 6:05 Eastern Time. The primary purpose for CRI is to equip believ rs with the resources to communicate why we believe what we believe and to give a defense of the faith. As Hank puts it "Faith in Christ is not some blind leap into a dark chasm, but a faith based on established evidence." You can hear the show daily off the net. http://www.equip.org. People call in with a wide range of questions and the shows are always so very interesting and informative. I think this CRI is expecially vital because at schools the myth of evolution is still taught as truth even though it has been scientifically disproven and at schools secular humanism is so exalted in the classroom. Hank's book can be used to learn how to effectively question and counter school teachers and professors who confidently communicate that evolution is an established scientific fact. You can also download articles by going to "Search archives" at the site and then typing in the particular subject. Anothe great resource is Kent Hovind's website http://www.drdino.com. they do sell materials. The great thing is that Mr. Hovind actually promotes people to order the materials - tape them - and send them back for a full refund. It's pretty awesome. Mr. Hovind has made an offer of $250,000 "to anyone who can offer any scientific proof for evolution."!!! : ) CRI is also the biggest counter-cult ministry in the world. They give believers materials that help witness to those in cults like Mormonism/Jehovah's Witnesses, ect. - You can also hear some groundbreaking messages by Walter Martin(founder of CRI who has gone on to be with the LORD) at http://www.waltermartin.org. Another really great website is http://www.khouse.org which is Chuck Missler's main site. His radio show 66/40 and his show Missler Report can be heard by clicking on "Radio shows". Please check them out if you have time. He is a former engineer so he is a stickler for details. His shows are very exciting to listen to. There are also other vital resources to be found at that site. (For example, I fully recommend listening to the "Stealing the mind of America Conference that can be heard from there. Great men of GOD like Josh McDowell, Frank Peretti, John Ankerberg, and many others give hard-hitting lectures. Kent Hovind's message "Evolution - check your brains at the door" can be heard/. Just go to "Conferences" after going to "Radio Shows" at the K-house site. This site is more than worth your while to investigate extensivly. The LORD has really used these ministries mentioned in my life to grow my faith and further solidify the inerrancy of the Bible to me. Also another crucial site is http://www.marshill.org - which is Dr. Mark Eastman's site (great for creation science research). I am sure that you have heard of Charles Stanley -http://www.intouch.org and http://www.simpletruth.org. The main site is intouch and archives for the last two years can be listened to. He can also be seen weekly Sundays on BET (Black Entertainment Television) cable channel at 7:00 EST and 4:00 pacific time. I just thank GOD for his ministry. John MacArther can be heard at http://www.gty.org. He is another great preacher that you might have heard of. Finally and possibly most importantly I would like to address evangelism. Just recently I heard the message "Hell's Best Kept Secret" at http://www.raycomfort.com. This groundbreaking lecture is a must listen and can be heard along with other cruci l teachings at the website. One pastor listened to this message over 250 times! Pastors from around the country have flown him out to deliver this message to the congregation. He has a number of great tracts that as he puts it "has unbelievers asking for more". I have personally had that happen once. It is so very exciting. He is based in Southern California and preaches open-air every weekend in Santa Monica. I am sure his teachings and tracts would be very effective in any evangelism training and witnessing that you all do. I know his ministry has made a real impact in my life; like all the other ones mentioned. Another great site is http://www.spurgeon.org. He was a preacher back in the 1800s who was called the "prince of preachers". One of the best qu tes of his on trusting GOD is "Trust is the sublimest form of adoration". You can print sermons of his out or listen to some narrations of his sermons. Listen when you can. You will realize what great work the LORD did through him also. Please spread the Word on these websites(maybe add to links page also ) to other IV chapters and to other Christians that you know - good to bookmark for future reference. Personally, I think they are very exciting, edifying, and so very informative. : ) I am sending a copy of this letter to some other IV chapters also.
