the future characters.
Cold Steel
This guy deals weapons to the NightbaneTM resistance cells and
certain street gangs. We know that he's ex-military, but that's about it.
His prices are higher than most people, but you do get what you pay for. He'll
have everything as you ask for it, it'll be on time, and he'll even let you slack
on the payments a little. The juice on his loans aren't that bad, like 10% a
week, but if you're really late, or just plain screw with him, I feel sorry for
you. This guy doesn't take any shit. Not from 'Banes, normals, whoever.
Shifty
This is another weapons dealer in the Houston area. Basically, he knows that
Steel has the real deals, in quality, but he'll be content in making whatever
scratch he can. His prices are definitely the lowest around, and if you're
especially menacing, you can "suggest" even lower prices. Here's the problem,
though, he's usually out of whatever you want, and by the time you get it, it's
probably already obsolete. Hell, who knows if it'll even work? This guy'll
sell to kids if they have enough money. What a loser...
Pharm
ah, Pharm... He loves mixing things. Music, Drinks, and Drugs. He's a chemist,
and can cook you up a batch of whatever addiction you desire. He's pretty good,
but sometimes he gets forgetful. Hey, it's expected when you're the only one
that experiments your own shit... I'd watch out for this guy, he's pretty cool,
but I wouldn't take anything he offers -- even if he has tried it himself. Hell,
people build up an immunity towards rattlesnake venom, don't you think he's
gotten some immunity of his own?
Chen
Trusty old Chen...After his daughter was rescued from trouble by some 'Banes,
he's felt some obligation to help out the children of shadows. He's not a
doctor, but his herbs and potions will heal you up pretty quick, and won't tip
off the authorities like some of those government run hospitals. You ever try to
bring in a guy with four arms and tail into the ER? You'll have the Government
Jackboots on your ass before you're done with the first page of forms.
Sawbones
You remember in History class when you studied about the Civil War? Remember
what you heard about the field doctors? All about the amputation and the clamps?
This guy's pretty much stepped through a portal into our time. With him, I'd
always want a second opinion. He is needed, though... I don't think Chen's
herbs and potions can do a whole hell of a lot for a blown off arm, or a punctured
artery. He's all we've got for the moment, but believe me, we're always looking
for others.
Remiel
This guy always seems to be a step behind us. We haven't had a chance to butt heads
with him, but he's always at the scene, taking notes and asking questions. I just
wonder who he's writing the notes for. If I ever catch him on my tail, I'll make
sure to ask him who he's working for...rudely. He could be working for the Government.
New or old, it doesn't matter, they're both bad.
Stay tuned for updates to these characters and introductions to the following:
Ramirez, Kragen, Brugen, Officers Notz and Krumrie...
