Once one of the most successful girl groups of all time, Bananarama make a modest comeback with their latest release, Drama. Founding members Sara Dallin and Karen Woodward sound as sexy and fresh as ever on this disco-friendly collection that will leave fans simply euphoric. Some tracks stand far above the rest, like “Move in My Direction,” “Waterfall,” “Feel for You” and “I Love the Way.” While the sun-kissed love song “Middle of Nowhere” takes a nice detour from the album’s electro-pop formula, Drama could have done without the two closing selections: dance reworkings of “Venus” and “Really Saying Something. ***1/2
