Welcome to the card games section of my little Drinking Games page. I have selected just a few of my favorite card games for you and your friends. Included are basic directions. I tried to make them simple enough to be understood, while at the same time not too childish sounding. Take in mind I wrote them while buzzed!

The games I selected are Asshole, Bullshit (BS), Drug Dealer, Drunk Driver, High/Low, Indian Poker, Kings, and Queens. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.

ASSHOLE

This is a somewhat complex game, but very fun when mastered. It requires a minimum of five people to play. This game will get you very drunk very fast. The first hand of asshole is the establishing hand. This will decide who is the President, VP, and Asshole for the next round.
Deal out seven cards to each player. The rank of the cards, from most to least powerful, is:
duece, ace, king, queen, etc, all the way down to the lowest card, the three.
Someone is chosen to go first and they play any card in their hand. The next person can either play a higher card or pass. For example, if a three is lead, the next player must play higher than three (not too hard, since three is lowest card). A new hand starts when all players pass, or when someone plays a 2 (the highest card). The last person to play a card leads the next hand. THis proceeds until all players are out of cards. The first player out of cards is the President for the next round. The next becomes the VP, etc. The last person out is the Asshole.

The roles for each player are as follows:
President:
Can make any player drink at any time, nobody can make Pres drink but self. Pres is first to start each round and should NEVER refill his/her own beer.
Vice President:
Can make any plater drink at any time (except Pres), only the pres can make VP drink, VP goes second in every round.
Asshole:
This player deals all cards, sweeps all cards after hands, can't make anyone drink (including self), plays last in each round.
Others:
Can make selves and asshole drink at any time, follow VP in order.

Fun ways to drink more:
Someone must toast the Presidnet before each hand. If no toast is presented or the President must remind someone, he/she can give out own punishment.
Social time. Everyone must drink when three cards of the same value are played in one round. For instance, other, vp, and pres all but down a four sometime during that round. Everyone drinks.
Board meeting. Everyone starts drinking and cannot stop until person higher than them does. VP can't stop till Pres does, other can't stop until VP does, etc. Only the president can call a Board Meeting.

BULLSHIT

Here's another good card game that could easily get you very drunk. All you need for this game are people (less than six), beer, an ability to lie, and a deck of cards.

Sit in a circle, dealing out the entire deck as evenly as possible. The object of the game is to get rid of all your cards. Starting with aces, the first player lays down the number of aces he/she has, stating the number of cards. Put those cards FACE DOWN in the middle of the circle. IF YOU DON"T HAVE ANY, LIE! The rest of the people can't see your cards, so they don't know for sure. If someone thinks that you're lying, they say "Bullshit!" If they are right, you drink an amount stated by the number of cards in the deck, and pick up all the cards in the deck. If you were honest, that person who said "Bullshit!" to you drinks the amount and gets the cards.
Play stars with aces and goes down through the rest of the deck, then repeats at the aces again. Play continues until someone runs out of cards.

DRUG DEALER

A really easy game but only two players per round will drink alot. This game is an add-on, something to do while you're up to other things at the party. You will need a card for everyone that is playing. There must be only one King and one Ace. The rest can be any cards.

The cards are dealt face down to each player. The person who got the King is the Cop. The person who got the Ace is the Drug Dealer. Everyone else is a bystander. It is the Drug Dealer's job to very discreetly wink at another player. This person will eventually say "The deal has been made." At this time, the Cop identifies him/herself and tries to find out who the Dealer is. The Cop chooses a player, if wrong, he must drink the number shown on the person's card. He then chooses again. If wrong again, he drinks again. When he chooses the right person, the Drug Dealer must drink the NUMBER OF CARDS remaining, NOT the total of the nuimbers on the cards. I don't want anyone dying during this game! After the Drug Dealer has been identified, the cards are collected, shuffled, and redealt. Play then continues.

DRUNK DRIVER

This is a really easy two player game. There is a dealer and one "driver". The dealer deals six cards (more for a harder road, less for easier road) face down to the driver. The driver turns over a card and one of the following will happen:
If it is a non-face card or ace, nothing happens, move on to the next card.
if the card is a face card or ace, the driver is dealt additional cards and must drink the number of cards he is dealt:

Jack=one additional card and one drink
Queen=two additional cards and two drinks
King=three additional cards and three drinks
Ace=four additional cards and four drinks

The game continues until all cards dealt have been completed. If the dealer runs out of cards, simply reshuffle the completed cards.

HIGH/LOW

This is another really easy game with a pretty decent shot at getting you drunk. As usual, all that is needed is beer, people, and a deck of cards.

Player one is dealt a card. He/She then guesses whether the next card will be higher or lower than her card. If wrong, he/she drinks once (one card is showing). If correct, he/she guesses again. After taking at least three cards, the player may choose to continue or to pass. When a player guesses incorectly, he/she must drink the number of cards showing. So, the strategy is to build up a lot of cards, and then pass it on to the next player. Equal cards are counted as whichever you choose before start of play.

INDIAN POKER

You may look really stupid while playing this game, but hey, when you're drunk, everyone looks stupid.

Deal each player one cards which they DO NOT LOOK AT. Placing that card on their foreheads so that all other players can see. That way, you can see everyone's card but your own. Dealer begins by betting he/she has the highest card by saying how many drinks he/she wishes to bet. Players who don't think they can win can fold by removing their cards and drinking the number of drinks the current bet is at. The player who ends up with the lowest card must drink the total of the bets.

KINGS

PLAYED WITH LIQUOR AND NOT BEER!

Shuffle the deck of cards. Start dealing one card at a time, face up, to each player. The first person to be dealt a king chooses a liquor, the second dealt a king picks the mixer, the third makes the drink (or buys it), and the fourth drinks the concoction. This game is best played at a bar where you can easily get any variation of liquor/mixer combonation. This game can be quite a laugh, since you could make a disgusting combonation and then end up being the one to drink it. Of course, if you come up with any new concoctions that are good, PLEASE LET US KNOW ABOUT THEM!

QUEENS

Shuffle the deck of cards. Spread them out so that any card can be chosen. Someone, doesn't matter who, goes first by choosing a card. The following tells what action is to be taken for each card:

ACE- Pick any player to drink KING- All the men drink QUEEN- All the ladies drink JACK- Everybody drinks 10- 2nd person on right of chooser drinks 9- 2nd person on left of chooser drinks 8- All players drink 7- Person to right of chooser drinks 6- Person to left of chooser drinks 5 to 1 Chooser drinks that number of cards

Play continues clockwise from the original chooser. Once all cards are gone, either reshuffle and continue new game, or move on to something else.

UP THE RIVER

This is a really easy game that can be added to with ease. Deal cards around to each player, asking questions for each card. Each player will recieve four cards and each subsequent card has a question.

For the first card the dealer asks the player if they think it will be red or black.
For the second card, the dealer asks the player if it will be higher or lower.
For the third card, dealer asks if it will be in between the numbers or outside the numbers. (For instance, if you are dealt a 3 and a 7, will the next card be between 3 and 7 or more than seven/less than three?)
For the fourth card, the dealer asks if it will be odd or even. For each incorrect answer, the player must drink. If a correct answer, deal the next card.

Now each player should have four cards (face-up) lying in front of them. This is your dock. Time to go up the river!

Dealer flips a card and puts it face-up in the middle of all the players. Anyone who has that card on their dock must drink. The first card counts as one drink, second as two, and so on. After the dealer has put down four cards in a row (not a pile) you can begin to head down the river. This is almost identical to going up the river, only instead of taking a drink for each card, you give one. For instance, player one has a five and the dealer places a five in the line. Player one has the option to give that drink to ANYONE playing the game. You can double up drinks by giving more than one card to the same person.

The other difference between going up the river and going down the river is that you start with one drink and end with four on the way up, but start with four and end with one on the way down. Continue going up and down the river until all cards are dealt.
