Vyacheslav Butusov
A founder of the band, author of music, some lyrics, also vocal and guitar. Was born on 15 of October 1961 in a village Bugach, Krasnoyarsk region. In 1978 he entered Sverdlovsk Architecture Institute where Butusov met Dmitriy Umetskiy. Started to write songs in interval between 1982 and 1983.
In 1983 he was introduced with Il'ya Kormil'tsev. Having finished institute in 1983, he worked as an architect in Project Institute, projecting Sverdlovsk's Metro. All free time, however, was spent in Sverdlovsk rock-club, recording songs. Quited his job in 1986 and started to work only with music and "Nautilus".
Currently lives in Sankt-Petersburg with his wife and two daughters. Butusov likes to paint very much and hopes to put himself into animation in the future.
Il'ya Kormil'tsev
One of the oldest members of "NP", author most of lyrics. Recently, he became a producer of the band. Was born 26 of September, in Sverdlovsk. In 1976 entered chemical sciences in Leningrad University, however transferred back to Sverdlovsk, in Ural University which Il'ya graduated in 1981. First songs were written for bands - "Urfin Dszus", "Grupa Igorya Belkina" and Nasti Polevoy. Introduction with Butusov in 1983 became, to 1985, a permanent collaboration . From 1988 to 1992 Kormil'tsev took part in creating a magazine - "MIKS" and released book of lyrics - "Skovannye odnoy tsep'u" ("Bounded by the same chain"). In the end of 1992 restarted his relationship with "NP".
Currently, Il'ya Kormil'tsev lives in Moscow.
A drummer. Was born on 23 of January 1968 in a small city Artemsk, Sverdlovsk region. A professional musician. Graduated from Musical college of Chaykovsky in Sverdlovsk. First appearance happened in a band - "Flag" ( A "Flag") during his college years in 1984-1986. Al'bert appeared with "NP" in 1986 on the rock-festival. In 1987 he had to serve in the red army. After returning, in the end of 1989, Al'bert accepted an invitation from "Agata Kristi" ("Agatha Christie"), where he played until Fall of 1990. After several months Butusov invited him to play again with "NP". So that in March of 1991 happened his second "debut" with "NP" during a concert in Per'm'.
Al'bert lives in Sankt-Petersburg, married, has a daughter. The most favorite hobby is an arrangement and everything else about music.
Igor' "Goga" Kopylov
A bass-guitarist. Igor' has been playing with "NP" since 1990. Was born on 20 of July 1962 in Sankt-Petersburg. Graduated from Leningrad Institute of Textile Production as a fashion-designer. First time appeared on the scene in a band - "Televizor" (A "TV-set") in 1984. In 1986 Igor' switched to the band - "Kofe" ("Coffee"), finally in 1988 he found himself in "Petle Nesterova". In 1990 Igor' received an invitation from Butusov and became a member of "NP".
Married. Lives in Sankt-Petersburg.
Aleksey Mogilevskiy
Keyboard, saxophone, back-vocal. Was born on 7 of February 1961 in Sverdlovsk. A professional musician, Graduated from Musical college of Chaykovsky in Sverdlovsk. In the beginning of 80-th Alex started to play in the different bands: "Nastya", "Flag", "Grupa Igorya Belkina", also he was working with his own band - "Assotsiatsiya" ( An "Association"). First time appeared in "NP" in 1986. From 1988 to 1993 he had only played with "Assotsiatsiya" and released 6 albums. In 1993 took part in creating album - "Otchet za 10 let" ("Count for 10 years") and played on the jubilee concert of "NP". In 1994, Alex accepted an invitation from Butusov, and returned in "NP".
Mogilevskiy lives in Ekaterinburg (former Sverdlovsk), married, has a son.
By his own words, Alex can't live without music.
Nikolay Petrov
Lider-guitarist. Was born on 24 of October 1960 in Pervoural'sk, Sverdlovsk region. Graduated from Musical college of Chaykovsky in Sverdlovsk. During college years Nikolay's meeting A. Mogilevskiy led to the creation of the band - "Assotsiatsiya" in 1985. After graduating Petrov was a teacher in a musical school and played in one of the restaurants in Pervoural'sk. In 1989 quited his job in school and started to work in one of the club for youths. From 1988 to 1991 Nikolay and A. Mogilevskiy worked in a band "Assotsiatsiya". In the beginning of 90-th played with "Aprel'skiy marsh" (An "April March") in Sverdlovsk-American project. In 1994 with recommendation from Mogilevskiy, Butusov invited Nikolay to play with "NP" and after live performance in Kiev, Petrov became an official guitarist of "NP".
Currently, Petrov lives in Pervoural'sk, married, has a son.
