What is a mother?

Is it someone who,
when you were little,
took you places and
made silly faces?

Is it someone who
cleaned you up after
playing in the dirt
and who held you
tight when you
were hurt?

Is is someone who
feeds and clothes
you and tells you
how much she
loves you?

Is it someone who
calms your fears
and dries away your
frightful tears?

Is it someone who
loves you even when
you've done wrong
and lets you know
to whom you
still belong?
