MAT 108 : Elementary Numerical Analysis : A Modern Prospective

This course is designed to prepare students to teach the non-geometric mathematics included in a modern NCTM STANADARDS based K-8 curriculum. Emphasis will be on the structure of arithmetic, development of good number sense, basic number theory, understanding probability, and the use of descriptive statistics. The course will focus on problem solving. Prerequisite : Demonstrated competence of the department qualifying examination.
