For the Spring semester of 1998, I was elected to act as Worthy Inner Guard. I spent the semester assisting the WMA at the pledge meetings, organizing a car-wash, planning the "The Sneak," and having a really good time getting to know my soon-to-be brothers.

In each of them, I saw a little of myself - scared and unsure at first, mad as hell at initiation, and totally relieved as formal initiation came to an end. All I can say is how happy I am that they were doing it and I wasn’t. They stood strong and I’m glad that I was able to assist Daniel, WMA, in guiding them into the brotherhood. I welcome them with open arms and hope that I was as helpful to them as my brothers were to me.
