Worthy Chief Counselor - Jarett Harkness

Being Worthy Chief Counselor of Phi Delta Chi for this past semester has been a great honor and has meant a lot to me. Watching the growth, not only in numbers, but also in brotherhood since I joined has been a great pleasure. As we became more involved in fund-raising projects and community service projects, I could see and feel a sense of pride growing in our organization. For the future of Phi Delta Chi, it will be important that we continue to be involved in activities of the fraternity so that our brotherhood will grow even stronger.

Attending the Regional Conference in Little Rock, Arkansas, was the highlight of my Spring semester. We all felt pretty good about our chapter before we left, but after visiting with other chapters in our region, I think we would all agree that the Alpha Omega chapter of Phi Delta Chi is among the finest. We all had a great time and I would encourage anyone who has the opportunity to attend Regionals or Grand Council in the future to do what it takes to get there, because you will not regret it.

I look forward to going on pro-practice in the fall, but I feel rather sentimental about leaving my brothers. My best friends are in Phi Delta Chi, and I don’t think that’s just a coincidence. I plan to keep in touch with my brothers and return for fraternity functions. I would like to encourage all of my brothers to do the same as they move to alumni.

In closing, I again want to thank you all for allowing me to serve as WCC, and I wish you all the very best.

Fraternally,

Jarett S. Harkness AW #612
